“DMK will be out of control of people and Tamil Nadu itself”: BJP’s Soundarajan takes dig at CM Stalin

Taking a sharp dig at Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan warned that the DMK would soon be out of the people's control, not just Delhi’s. She reminded Stalin of the 1976 dissolution of the DMK government over alleged corruption and anti-national activities

Tamil Nadu BJP leader Tamilisai Soundarajan on April 19 took a jibe at Chief Minister MK Stalin for his “Tamil Nadu will never yeild to Delhi adminstration remark noting that his party DMK would very soon be out of control of the people and Tamil Nadu itself

She alleged that in the year 1976, the DMK government was dissolved for corruption and anti-national activities.

Speaking to ANI, Soundarajan said “He (Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin) is telling that no Shah (Union HM Amit Shah) can control me, but I want to remind them that in 1976, the DMK government was dissolved on corruption and anti-national activities. He is saying that he will be out of control of Delhi. I am challenging that DMK will be out of control of the people, out of control of Tamil Nadu itself…”

Soundarajan further stated that the BJP and AIADMK alliance created an opportunity to root out the DMK government.

“It (the BJP-AIADMK alliance) has created an opportunity to root out the DMK government. He (MK Stalin) bowed to the central government when he was in power, and now he’s putting on a brave face… but 2026 will be out of Stalin’s control. BJP- AIADMK and other parties are all going to join with us – NDA, and we are going to form the government, and we are very happy the alliance has been formed…” Soundarajan said.

Stalin, on Friday, hit out at Union home minister Amit Shah for accusing the DMK regime of using the issues of NEET and delimitation as distraction tactics, and challenged him to prove his claims.

“I want to ask Union Home Minister Amit Shah, can he give assurance to provide an exemption from NEET? Can he give assurance that you won’t impose Hindi? Can he list out the release of special funds to Tamil Nadu? Can you give your word that delimitation won’t reduce seats (of Tamil Nadu in parliamentary elections)? If we are diverting, why didn’t you give a proper response to the Tamil Nadu people?” said Stalin.

Dhankar’s address to the 6th batch of Rajya Sabah interns in New Delhi on Thursday strongly criticised the judiciary for “acting as a super Parliament”.

“Parliament, the first part is the president, second and third are Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. There is a direction to the president by a recent judgement. Where are we heading? What is happening in the country? We have to be extremely sensitive,” Dhankar had said.

In his address Dhankar has said, “It is not a question of someone filing a review or not. We never bargained for democracy for this day. President being called upon to decide in a time-bound manner and if not, it becomes law. So we have judges who will legislate, who will perform executive functions, who will act as super Parliament and absolutely have no accountability because law of the land does not apply to them.”

The Vice President also said Article 142 of the Constitution “has become a nuclear missile against democratic forces. Available to judiciary 24×7.”

Meanwhile, Soundarajan stated that the Vice President Dhankar had a legal professional with wide knowledge about the legal system and had the right to express his views.

“He (Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin) is saying things about the Vice President’s remarks about the verdict of the Highest Court. I’m asking that they (DMK) are talking against NEET, which is also a verdict of the highest court, and they violated it. Vice President is a legal professional and he has a wide knowledge about the legal system, and he has the right to express his views…” Soundarajan stated.

Assembly Elections in Tamil Nadu are slated for next year.
