Telangana: Makers of “Sriman Rama,” announce new animated feature film “Sevak” – a tribute to RSS’ century of service

This is not just an animation project – it’s a cultural movement. Sevak is my humble and creative offering to the spirit of service that the RSS has embodied for 100 years

On the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, acclaimed National Award-winning Writer-Director Satyakashi Bhargava, the creator of the much-loved Sriman Rama series, has announced his next big project – an animated feature film titled “Sevak.” The announcement was made in Hyderabad on April 12 as a heartfelt tribute to the century-long legacy of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Targeted at a global children’s audience, Sevak follows the journey of a spirited 9-year-old protagonist and a vibrant cast of characters, brought to life through dazzling animation, soulful music, and adventurous storytelling. The film is designed to inspire children across Bharat to take pride in service to the nation and its people – echoing the selflessness embodied by Hanuman ji, the ultimate “sevak” of Prabhu Shri Ram.

“This is not just an animation project – it’s a cultural movement. Sevak is my humble and creative offering to the spirit of service that the RSS has embodied for 100 years,” said writer-director Satyakashi Bhargava, speaking exclusively to Organiser.

Currently in the scripting phase, the project is set to enter production soon under the banner of Hydeabad based Mara Creations Pvt. Ltd. The film will be released initially in Hindi and English, with plans to expand into multiple Bharatiya languages. A trailer launch is on the horizon, and the full feature is slated for release by Vijayadashami, marking a fitting tribute to the spirit of selfless service.

“Sevak” promises a visually captivating voyage through India’s vibrant cultural heritage, iconic historical sites, and inspiring tales of selfless sacrifice—beautifully blended with music, dance, fun, and thrilling adventures to engage and uplift young audiences.

SatyaKashi Bhargava added that his team plans to consult with senior RSS functionaries to ensure the story resonates deeply and truthfully reflects the values of selfless service and patriotism.

This ambitious new film follows the massive success of “Sriman Rama,” SatyaKashi Bhargava’s earlier animation series that captivated audiences on DD National and Prasar Bharati’s Waves OTT, amassing over 100 million streaming minutes and reaching over 45 lakh viewers in Hindi alone. The series recently bagged 2 Awards -1)the Best Animation Show award & 2)Best Animation Director at the 3rd Shri Ram International Film Festival-Ayodhya marking a new milestone for Indian animation rooted in dharmic values.

“Animation is a powerful medium to instill Bharatiya samskaras in young minds. With Sevak, we aim to not just entertain but educate and elevate the next generation towards a life of purpose and national service,” SatyaKashi Bhargava stated.

As Indian animation breaks new ground with culturally-rich, socially-relevant content, Sevak is poised to become a game-changer – a cinematic celebration of India’s unsung heroes, traditions, and eternal values that shape the soul of Bharat.
