Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) successfully concluded its three-day Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) 2025 at Janaseva Vidya Kendra, Chennenahalli, Bengaluru. The event, facilitated by 550 prabandhaks (volunteers), showcased the fact that RSS stands for discipline, efficiency, and commitment to simplicity—a stark contrast to the grandeur often expected at gatherings of such scale.

Values of Punctuality

Despite its vast organisational reach, RSS’s most important annual meeting was conducted without any extravagance or fanfare. Managed entirely by Bengaluru swayamsevaks, the event was structured into 60 well-coordinated departments, ensuring flawless execution. Not a single meeting ran behind schedule, and all sessions concluded as planned—an exceptional feat for a large-scale event.

Seamless Execution, Structured Departs

A well-defined system of facilitating departments ensured the smooth execution of ABPS 2025. The Karyalay (Administrative & Coordination Team) oversaw the overall functioning, ensuring seamless communication between various teams. The Registration & Reception Team handled check-ins and hospitality, personally assisting each delegate upon arrival.

The Venue Setup & Infrastructure Team arranged three large tents and seating areas, while the Rakshana (Security & Safety Team) maintained strict vigilance, with fire extinguishers strategically placed for safety. The IT & Communications Team handled live streaming, digital connectivity, and technical support.

Serving with Care

The Bhojan (Food) & Catering Team ensured that nutritious Saatvik vegetarian meals were served with care, reinforcing the organisation’s spirit of Seva. Strict eco-friendly measures were followed, with steel plates and glasses replacing plastic, ensuring a sustainable approach.

The Accommodation & Hospitality Team meticulously arranged lodging, assigning designated rooms to all delegates. Volunteers personally received attendees at airports, railway stations, and bus terminals, some 30-50 km away from the venue. A well-planned transport system ensured hassle-free arrivals and departures. For interested delegates, local tours were arranged post-meetings, offering insights into Bengaluru’s cultural heritage.

On the second day, an unforeseen rain shower briefly threatened to disrupt proceedings. However, within an hour, swayamsevaks swiftly cleared the waterlogged areas, ensuring the event continued without interruption. This trademark efficiency was evident throughout—challenges arose but were resolved within minutes.

Additionally, the Electricity & Sound Team ensured an uninterrupted power supply and optimal acoustics, while the Cleanliness Team maintained hygiene, sprinkling water to keep the premises cool. With such precise coordination, the event concluded exactly as scheduled—setting a benchmark in organisational excellence that even high-end event management setups would struggle to match. The venue also hosted 12 stalls, featuring literature from Prabhat Prakashan, Bharat Prakashan and Rashtrotthana, alongside organic products from Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram. A fully equipped media centre was set up, facilitating daily press interactions. Transportation was also arranged for journalists from Bengaluru city to the venue, ensuring comprehensive media coverage. Senior RSS functionaries, including Shri Sunil Ambekar (Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh), Sah-Sarkaryavah Shri Arun Kumar, and Sri Mukunda, engaged with the media throughout the event. The meeting culminated in a closing address by Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale, where they emphasised the need for dedicated service over mere celebrations, especially as the organisation approaches its centenary year.

The meticulous planning and execution of ABPS 2025 exemplified the RSS’s ethos of selfless service and organisational excellence. As the organisation nears its 100th year, the focus remains firmly on discipline, commitment, and societal contribution—prioritising action over accolades.

For most people, hosting a conference of hundreds—let alone thousands—requires the plush settings of five-star hotels, lavish banquet halls, and expensive event managers. Yet, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the world’s largest volunteer organisation, conducts its most important annual meeting with absolute precision, minimal cost, and no luxury—all thanks to its well-structured, self-sufficient event management system.

Fusion of Tradition & Innovation

Adjacent to Janaseva Vidya Kendra, an emerging technological marvel, drew considerable attention at an exhibition hosted by Param Foundation. It seamlessly blended Bharatiya knowledge systems with cutting-edge technology. The futuristic showcase featured interactive exhibits, including sensory movement detection screens, laser shows, virtual reality experiences, a mini-theatre, and robotics.

Importantly, delegates were given an immersive walkthrough of how ancient wisdom meets modern innovation, with volunteers explaining the intricate workings of sensor-driven body movement interfaces, Artificial Intelligence-powered displays, and advanced sound-responsive installations. Though still under construction, the exhibition is poised to become one of Bharat’s premier technology-driven knowledge hubs, catering to students, research scholars, and scientists. The experience left visitors with a lasting impression, proving that RSS’s vision extends beyond social service into the realm of technological empowerment and national progress.
