In Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) celebrated the occasion of Hindu New Year, Chaitra Pratipada, with Path Sanchalan that wound its way through various parts of the city, including a route near Jama Masjid. The event was conducted under tight security, with both the police and Rapid Action Force deployed across key locations. This heightened vigilance came in the wake of recent violence in Sambhal, as well as the approach of Eid celebrations, which heightened sensitivities in the region.

The Path Sanchalan, which started from Shishu Shiksha Kendra School, saw a large turnout of RSS volunteers and supporters from both urban and rural areas. Prominent local leaders, such as Karyavah Chhatrapal, addressed the gathering, emphasising that the RSS is the only organisation capable of safeguarding the nation, drawing on its values of unity and national security. Chhatrapal’s remarks underscored the movement’s core beliefs in national service and social responsibility.

Accompanying Chhatrapal were other key figures like Rajul Gupta (Mahanagar Prachar Pramukh), Arvind Arora (Vibag Sanghchalak), Gagan, Manoj Gupta, Manish Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, and Narendra Kumar, who all contributed to the event’s success. Their presence demonstrated the strong leadership of the RSS in Sambhal. The march, which was peaceful and disciplined, highlighted the cultural and social goals of the RSS.

In addition to the main procession, a separate event was held in Hayatnagar, Sarayatrin, and Ladamsarai Basti under the guidance of the Veer Savarkar Shakha Sarayatrin. This procession ended at prominent local spots like the Rickshaw Stand, Bazar Ganj, Shahjipura, and BD Inter College. Leaders such as Sharad, Kamal Kaushal, Gopi, Tinku, Dr. Neeraj, Sumit Shyam, and Arvind Daksh played pivotal roles in supporting the program.

Further, a procession in Babrala, aimed at promoting unity and solidarity among the community, also saw active participation. Leaders like Jilla Pracharak Deepak, Nagar Sanghachalak Gopal, and prachar pramukh Arun Kant contributed to making the event a success.

The RSS path sanchalan in Sambhal passed by the Jama Masjid, prompting the local administration to maintain tight security arrangements. Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel and police from various stations were deployed to ensure the safety of participants and residents. Authorities were particularly cautious, considering the recent disturbances in Sambhal and the ongoing celebrations for Eid. The event was carefully monitored to prevent any untoward incidents and to maintain peace and harmony in the region.
