Shocking new details have emerged in the brutal murder of Saurabh Rajput, allegedly orchestrated by his wife, Muskan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil Shukla. Both accused, now in police custody, reportedly used a bizarre mix of alleged black magic, superstition, and digital deception to execute their crime.

A web of manipulation and deception

According to police investigations, Muskan Rastogi exploited Sahil Shukla’s deep belief in so-called black magic and his superstitious nature to manipulate him into participating in the murder. New revelations indicate that Muskan used Snapchat to deceive Sahil by pretending to be his deceased mother, sending messages that convinced him that Saurabh’s death was preordained.

Muskan reportedly created three fake Snapchat IDs using her brother’s mobile number. These accounts were used to impersonate Sahil’s dead mother, as well as her own mother and brother, to strengthen the illusion that her family approved of her relationship with Sahil. The deception was so elaborate that Sahil genuinely believed his mother was speaking to him from the afterlife, guiding him toward the murder.

Chilling Snapchat messages uncovered

Sources reveal that Snapchat chat records accessed by police show Muskan, using the alias ‘Muski,’ engaging in conversations with Sahil while pretending to be his deceased mother. The messages painted a grim picture of manipulation and psychological control.

In one of the messages, Muskan (as Sahil’s mother) wrote: “Raja, my child, forgive us. We won’t come to speak to you again. Whatever happens now, will happen. The divine force will protect you. She will sacrifice herself but won’t let anything happen to you.”

Another chilling text read: “Everything is ruined, my child. Take care of Gudia. Now even I won’t return, Raja, my child.”

Muskan further deepened the deception by claiming that she had gained divine approval: “Raja, your wife has passed the test. She has become a part of our family. We are so happy with our daughter. Our ancestors have blessed her. She has become a Brahmin, and now no one can defeat my daughter-in-law. His death is destined at Muskan’s hands,” Muskan wrote in a text to Sahil as his dead mother presumably about Saurabh.

These messages played a crucial role in convincing Sahil that killing Saurabh was part of a larger plan.

Months of planning, A gruesome execution

Police investigations have revealed that Muskan had been plotting her husband’s murder since November 2023. On March 4, she and Sahil carried out their sinister plan. After killing Saurabh, they dismembered his body, stuffed the remains into a drum, and sealed it with cement to conceal the crime. In a shocking display of cold-bloodedness, the duo then left for a vacation in Himachal Pradesh, believing their crime was undetectable.

However, their escape was short-lived. They were arrested on March 18, following a police investigation that exposed the Snapchat deception and digital footprint left behind.

Digital clues lead to arrest

During the investigation, authorities uncovered how Muskan used her Snapchat accounts to manipulate Sahil. She created multiple profiles to maintain the illusion that Sahil’s deceased mother was communicating with him. The forensic examination of these messages played a pivotal role in establishing her role in the murder conspiracy.

Both Muskan and Sahil are now in police custody, facing charges of murder and criminal conspiracy. Authorities continue to investigate the case, focusing on the psychological manipulation and digital tools used to execute this heinous crime.
