To demonstrate its organisational strength and unity, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Ranchi Mahanagar organised Shakha Maha Kumbh at Jagannathpur ground in Dhurva on February 23. Swayamsevaks (volunteers) from various cities of the Mahanagar (metropolis) participated in this programme. Shakhas began at 7 am with swayamsevaks performing various physical and mental exercises. The hour-long shakha ended at 8 am in which swayamsevaks demonstrated their unity and organisational strength.
North East region’s Kshetra Pracharak Ramnavami Prasad addressed the swayamsevaks on this occasion. He drew their attention towards the target set in the Centenary year of RSS and called for the important role of all the swayamsevaks in the growth of Sangh work in this important year.
Ramnavami Prasad explained the Sangh’s Panch Pran of family enlightenment, social harmony, self realisation, environmental protection and civic duty.
More than a thousand swayamsevaks participated in Shakha Maha Kumbh. A total of 107 Shakhas (branches) and 35 meetings were held in Ranchi city. In this programme, of 156 bastis (settlements) of 16 cities, 84 were represented with more than 1,000 swayamsevaks. Many senior officials of Nagar, Mahanagar, Vibhag (department), Prant (province), state, Kshetra (region) level including Prant Karyavah (incharge) Sanjay Kumar, Mahanagar Sanghchalak Pawan Mantri, Sah Sanghchalak Shashikant were present in the programme.
