Guwahati: Pramukh Sanchalika of Rashtra Sevika Samiti V Shanta Kumari (informally known as Shantakka) said that “Hindu lifestyle that wishes for world well-being is a matter of conduct, so we all should incorporate it in our lives.”

Shantakka was addressing the concluding session of the All India meeting of Sevika Samiti. She said that “To make our nation glorious, the topics of Panch Parivartan (self-realisation, family enlightenment, social harmony, environment and civic duty) will have to be brought to the society by imbibing them in personal life and conduct. Efforts have to be made to strengthen the work by doing SWOT analysis of the status of our work.”

108 representatives from 34 states of entire Bharat were present in the two-day meeting going on from February 22, in IIT campus of Guwahati.

Pramukh Karyavahika of the Samiti A. Sita informed about the present status of the organisation, special programmes completed and the plan for future work. She said that quality work has to be increased.

This year, we are celebrating the 675th remembrance year of Sant Namdev, 501st of Rani Durgavati and 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The inspiring life stories of all have to be presented before the people and their thoughts have to be adopted in our lives as well.

Karyakartas of All India level guided the committee meeting.

107 representatives from 34 provinces were present in the meeting. 4125 Shakhas of Sevika Samiti are working in all 12 regions and 38 provinces of the country. Out of a total of 1042 districts, the Samiti is working in 834 districts. 1799 service works are being run across the country by the sevikas of the Samiti.
