Acharya Kunal was appointed Officer on Special Duty (OSD) for the ‘Ayodhya Cell’ formed by the then Prime Minister V.P Singh for resolving the Ramjanmabhoomi dispute in 1990. He was also one of the founding members of the Ram Mandir Trust.

He also served as the vice chancellor of the KSD Sanskrit University for three years before being elected as a president of ‘Bihar Dharmik Nyas Board’ in the year 2006. During his tenure at the board Kishore paved way for various significant reforms.

He played a pivotal role in establishing many health and educational institutes like the Mahavir Cancer Institute, Mahavir Vatsalya Hospital, Mahavir Netralya and Gyan Niketan School.

Acharya Kishore breathed his last at Mahavir Cancer Institute after suffering a cardiac attack in early hours of December 29 last year.
