A disturbing incident has emerged from the Modinagar area of Ghaziabad district, where a minor Muslim boy, employed at a local hotel, was allegedly caught spitting on rotis while preparing them. The incident, captured on CCTV, has gone viral on social media, prompting swift police action.

The chain of events unfolded when a customer, identified as Prakash Singh, visited the hotel with a friend. Observing the alleged act, Singh recorded a video of the minor worker in action. When Singh confronted the hotel owner, identified as Anuj, about the incident, tensions escalated. Anuj, along with an associate named Abid, reportedly attacked Singh and his friend in retaliation.

Following the altercation, Prakash Singh lodged a formal complaint with the Modinagar Police Station. Acting on the complaint, police arrested the hotel owner, Anuj, and began investigations. Additional Police Commissioner Gyan Prakash Rai confirmed that Anuj had recently employed the minor, a resident of Baghpat, as a worker. However, the minor accused fled the scene shortly after the incident, and police teams have been deployed to locate him.

Rai further stated, “The hotel owner and his associate have been taken into custody, and legal action is underway against the minor under the Juvenile Justice Act.” He added that the hotel owner faces charges under Sections 275 (sale of harmful food or drink) and 131 (use of criminal force) of the Indian Penal Code. The authorities have also invoked the Food Safety and Standards Act in their investigation.

The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with the CCTV footage widely shared, raising concerns over food safety and hygiene practices in local eateries. Residents have demanded stricter regulations and enforcement to prevent such incidents in the future.
