A bomb threat email was received on December 9 at Hotel Dwarkamai, located in the Ganeshpeth Colony area of Nagpur. The threat prompted immediate action from the Nagpur Police and Bomb Squad teams, who swiftly evacuated all the guests from the hotel and began a thorough search of the premises. Police are currently conducting an investigation to determine the origin of the threat.

Nagpur Police Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Rahul Maknikar, confirmed the incident, stating, “A bomb threat mail was received at Hotel Dwarkamai in the Ganeshpeth Colony area of Nagpur. Police immediately reached the spot, and we evacuated all the inmates. A detailed search has been conducted by the Bomb Detection team.”

The police teams were soon joined by a dog squad, and authorities have been combing the area meticulously for any potential threats. Vehicles from the Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s fire and emergency service were stationed at the site, and officers with trained canines were seen inspecting the hotel and surrounding areas.

The bomb threat at Hotel Dwarkamai is part of a series of recent bomb scare incidents in different parts of India. Earlier in the day, approximately 40 schools in Delhi received bomb threat emails from a sender demanding $30,000. Among the affected schools were prominent institutions like DPS RK Puram, GD Goenka in Paschim Vihar, The British School in Chanakyapuri, and others. In response, authorities suspended classes and sent students home. Investigations are ongoing, but no suspicious activity has been discovered so far.

This follows a similar hoax in Lucknow on December 8, where an unidentified caller claimed bombs had been planted at three major transport hubs: Hussainganj Metro Station, Charbagh Railway Station, and Alambagh Bus Station. A swift response from the police and security forces led to the confirmation that the threat was a false alarm.
