The results of the Students’ Union elections across various Delhi University colleges were announced today, with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) emerging as the dominant force. ABVP-backed candidates won 148 positions in a landslide, signaling strong support from the student community. The elections, held on September 27, saw results declared nearly two months later.
Several colleges witnessed clean sweeps by ABVP, including Kirori Mal College, Sri Aurobindo College, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, Swami Shraddhanand College, Vivekanand College, Ramanujan College, PGDAV Evening College, Hansraj College, B.R. Ambedkar College, and Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences. These victories reflect the widespread trust placed in ABVP by Delhi University students.
Harsh Attri, ABVP Delhi State Secretary, credited the organization’s success to its consistent engagement with students and commitment to addressing their concerns. “These victories reaffirm ABVP’s position as the most trusted student organization. This success belongs not just to us but to every student of Delhi University,” he stated.
ABVP has pledged to focus on creating a conducive environment for holistic development across campuses. With this strong performance, the organization is optimistic about achieving similar success in the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections. The DUSU counting process is scheduled for tomorrow.
