Mumbai: Amidst growing concerns over alleged claims by the Waqf Board on the Siddhivinayak Mandir, Pawan Tripathi, the treasurer of the Shri Siddhivinayak Temple Society, has categorically stated that no one can claim ownership of the revered temple.

In a video message that has gone viral on social media, Tripathi has assured devotees that the Waqf Board has no intention of making any claims on the Siddhivinayak Temple, one of the most prominent Hindu mandir in India. The temple, dedicated to Bhagwan Ganesha, is located in Dadar, Mumbai.

“The Siddhivinayak Temple is not just a religious place for Mumbai, but it holds immense spiritual significance for Hindus worldwide. It’s a matter of pride for Mumbai and Maharashtra. No one can make any claims on this temple,” Tripathi asserted in the video.

His statement comes in the backdrop of several instances where the Waqf Board has reportedly claimed ownership of historical Hindu sites and forts, including those associated with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. These claims have sparked widespread outrage among Hindus, leading to protests and legal battles.

Recently, there were reports that the Waqf Board had claimed ownership of the Vishalgad fort in Maharashtra, a historical site with significant cultural importance. Similarly, the board also claimed ownership of the Kanifnath Temple and 40 acres of surrounding land in Madhya Pradesh.

The Siddhivinayak Temple, dedicated to Bhagwan Ganesha, is one of the most popular and revered Hindu temples in India. The temple attracts millions of devotees every year and plays a significant role in the cultural and religious life of Mumbai.
