HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena party president Pawan Kalyan embarked on a hectic two-day election campaign tour across Maharashtra on November 16 and 17, energising voters in key regions. On the first day, he campaigned in constituencies across the Marathwada region.  In this tour Pawab Kalyan paid glowing tributes to Maharashtra’s rich legacy. He emphasiSed the significance of the region in India’s cultural and historical tapestry while urging voters to support NDA candidates for the upcoming assembly elections on his Maharashtra election campaign tour on Saturday.

Pawan Kalyan’s election tour in Maharashtra showcased his energetic commitment to bolstering NDA candidates’ prospects. On the morning of the 16th, beginning in Deglur with a massive rally he paid homage to Maharashtra’s cultural heritage. Later, he proceeded to Bhokar constituency in the same district to participate in another gathering. By 2 PM, he reached Latur where he received a festive welcome, addressed massive rallies in Chandrapur’s Ballarshah constituency, and led a dynamic roadshow in Solapur covering North, South, and Central for a meeting. His speeches emphasised unity, progress, and the region’s historical significance, resonating with enthusiastic crowds across key constituencies.

Speaking to the crowd at Deglur, Pawan Kalyan said, “I have not come here just to ask for votes. I am here to pay respect to this land that has birthed many great personalities and saints, a land that has taught us to fight for our rights. I have come to honor the birthplace of Shivaji Maharaj, a land that gave meaning to the term ‘Swarajya,’ and the land that served as the karmabhoomi of Baba Saheb Ambedkar. I bow with reverence to this land that was shaped by the values taught by Rajmata Jijabai.”

He went on to acknowledge the deep inspiration drawn from the teachings of Balasaheb Thackeray, stating that his principles of fearlessly standing for Sanatan Dharma and regional pride resonated deeply with Jana Sena’s ideology. “I may not have had the opportunity to meet Balasaheb, but his fight against injustice and unwavering commitment to Dharma continues to guide us,” he added.

Maharashtra’s Role in India’s Growth Highlighted

As part of his campaign for NDA, Pawan Kalyan stressed the importance of Maharashtra in India’s developmental journey. Reflecting on NDA’s achievements over the past decade, he pointed to the abolition of Article 370, the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, and the transformative infrastructure projects such as the Samruddhi Mahamarg connecting Nagpur to Thane.

He also detailed the significant development initiatives undertaken in Deglur constituency, including police stations, courts, and the Kundalwadi-Bevli road project. He urged voters to recognize the NDA government’s dedication to uplifting every region and support candidates who could carry forward the vision of transforming Maharashtra into a trillion-dollar economy by 2028.

The rally saw enthusiastic participation from supporters across Telangana, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. Kalyan concluded his speech with rousing slogans of “Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji, Jai Maharashtra,” emphasizing the unity of the people in preserving Sanatan Dharma and striving for a prosperous future.

Pawan Kalyan, while addressing a public meeting held in Bhokar town, said:”We must transcend the notions of Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, and Gujarati… and move forward together for the sake of the nation. Amongst all of us, the only identity we should hold is that of being Indians.”

At Latur City alongside BJP candidate Smt. Archana Patil, Maharashtra BJP leaders, workers, followers, BJP election observers, and former MLC Shri P.V.N. Madhav extended a grand welcome to Shri Pawan Kalyan.

In Chandrapur district, Pawan Kalyan participated in massive rallies and public meetings held in the Ballarshah constituency. Addressing the large crowds gathered at the meeting, he said:

“Ballarshah is like a mini India. Here, people from different regions speaking various languages live together harmoniously. Our festivals, like Bathukamma and the Sammakka-Saralamma Jatara, are celebrated on this land. However, some individuals coming from Hyderabad disrespect our traditions, our Sammakka-Saralamma, and our Bathukamma. I will not remain silent if there are attacks on Sanatana Dharma, which treats all religions equally. I will certainly come forward and fight for it. The inspiration to lead the Jana Sena Party strongly comes from the great leaders of Maharashtra. Among those who inspired me are Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Shri Balasaheb Thackeray. On the occasion of Shri Thackeray’s death anniversary, I pay my heartfelt tribute to him.”

Pawan Kalyan hailed the RSS as the backbone of India’s unity, asserting that an India without it is unimaginable. Drawing inspiration from Shri Bal Thackeray, he emphasised the Jana Sena Party’s commitment to preserving strong regional identities alongside unwavering nationalism. Highlighting the need to respect and learn regional languages, he shared his own practice of speaking Marathi with his children, underscoring the importance of preserving India’s linguistic and cultural heritage. “It is because of the RSS that divisive forces have failed to break this nation,” he declared, paying tribute to its role in safeguarding India’s integrity.

In the politically key region of Solapur, he urged the people to ensure an overwhelming majority for NDA candidates — Shri Vijay Kumar Deshmukh (North), Shri Devendra Kote (Central), and Shri Subhash Deshmukh (South).
