Sahakar Bharati is set to organise its 8th National Conference from December 6-8, 2024, in Amritsar, Punjab. Nearly 2,500 delegates from across the country will attend this 8th National Conference of Sahakar Bharati.

Amritsar is famously known for the Golden Temple, the Jallianwala Bagh, and as the land of martyrs like Bhagat Singh and Udham Singh. It is also renowned worldwide for its rich heritage and hospitality.

During the conference, discussions will be held on topics such as the expansion of Sahakar Bharati in the cooperative sector, the growth of organisational work, and the vision of Sahakar Bharati for the next three years. Dattatreya Hosabale, Sarkaryavah of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, will deliver the inaugural address on December 7, 2024.

Awards in memory of Shraddhyey Laxmanrao Inamdarji and the first working president of Sahakar Bharati, Shri Mahadev Hari Annasaheb Godbole, will be presented during the inaugural session.

The conference will also include the election of Sahakar Bharati’s National President and General Secretary for the next three years.

Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, will be present for the concluding session.

Sahakar Bharati is the only pan-India organization of cooperators and cooperatives. It aims to build a strong and dedicated cadre of selfless cooperators and a network of cooperatives in both rural and urban areas. This network is designed to spread awareness of the cooperative movement, which, under current circumstances, is seen as the ‘savior’ for the upliftment of small farmers, landless laborers, Vanvasis, women, SHGs, JLGs, rural craftsmen and technicians, and jobless youth from middle and lower-income groups. Currently, Sahakar Bharati operates in 28 states and over 650 districts across the country. The organization believes that the cooperative model is the only tool for the sustainable growth and development of economically disadvantaged sections of society.
