Kyrel: Gateway to a new world

Growing up in a cozy 800 sq. ft. home with my Government-employed father and eight other family members, I learned the value of perseverance, love and the strength of shared experiences. Life wasn’t always easy, but amid the challenges, I found my escape in video games. Gaming was my gateway to a world filled with imagination, creativity and boundless adventure. It was my haven, even when family criticism and daily struggles clouded the path. Despite these hurdles, I pushed forward, acing the NEET exam in 2019—a testament to my resilience. But when COVID-19 halted my medical journey, life presented a new opportunity. Instead of walking the conventional path, I embraced my passion for game development and founded Kyrel Games in 2023.

Kyrel faced several challenges at the onset, particularly with limited finance. Convincing talent to join the journey to build video games, especially when the gaming ecosystem lacked an understanding of how to develop and fund AAA or even Indie-level games. In India, most of the equity free grants and acceleration programmes are promoting technology startups mostly but even basic support systems for video gaming startups are missing. At the other end, we see a gaming tech company like NVIDIA which is now the most valued technology company.

Our core values revolve around quality, innovation, and authenticity in storytelling. We have already released our first game on the STEAM platform. Although currently we are boot strapped, funds or grants have been availed. We are currently working towards raising a net of $250,000 through different venture capital funds and crowdfunding platforms at a valuation of 2 million USD. This investment will ensure that we maintain the high production quality we’ve set out to achieve and create a product worthy of global audiences.

Export and Sales of Products

We have sold 100 copies of our one-sitting game named “Pin Drop” directly from our website in Europe, Canada and the US market. Our next plan is to launch more games on Steam and PlayStation, along with offering physical merchandise like sticker packs for international shipping. Our mission is to build games based on Indian mythology and folktales with an interactive and engaging experience for players across the globe. Our long-term vision is to create a unified platform where developers can publish and distribute their games simultaneously, and gamers can support these games directly, eliminating the need for traditional publishers.
