Like many startups, Tendryl faced early challenges in securing funding, building market trust and optimising production processes. It managed to overcome these obstacles by prioritising customer satisfaction, innovation, and cost-effective solutions, which enabled us to rapidly expand in the hygiene sector.Tendryl’s extensive research across villages and urban areas in Maharashtra revealed that only 30 per cent of menstruating women had access to sanitary products, while improper disposal practices cost facilities approximately Rs 4 lakh annually. These findings underscored the urgent need for accessible and sustainable solutions, reinforcing our commitment to design user-friendly, affordable machines that cater to women of all ages and abilities.

Export and Sales of Products

Domestically, Tendryl’s Pinkz brand has made significant strides, establishing a presence across 65 cities and towns in India, with over 2,500 machines installed in 26

States and Union Territories. Tendryl has also expanded internationally, with installations in Abu Dhabi and Bhutan. Building on this strong foundation, we are actively exploring further export opportunities, focusing on South Asian and African markets where demand for affordable and accessible menstrual hygiene solutions is particularly high.

Market Value and Investment

Tendryl operates in a dynamic and rapidly growing market focused on sustainability, women’s health and hygiene. As global demand for menstrual hygiene products rises, we are strategically positioned to attract investors who align with our vision of delivering safe, reliable, and accessible solutions. The domestic market is valued at Rs 16,250 crore, while the global market stands at $9 billion.

Future Plans

Tendryl’s strategy for the future centres on diversifying our product range by integrating cutting-edge technologies in hygiene care, exploring eco-friendly alternatives and ramping up our investment in research and development. We envision becoming a global leader in menstrual hygiene solutions, driven by innovation and social responsibility. By creating a seamless synergy between advanced hardware and intelligent software, Tendryl aims to address critical global challenges such as accessibility and period poverty, starting from India.

In line with our sustainability goals, we are prototyping smokeless incinerators to make sanitary waste disposal even more eco-friendly. Additionally, we plan to establish an all-women distribution network across ten key cities, promoting female empowerment and business growth.
