Andhra Pradesh: Report confirms beef fat, fish oil & pig fat used in Tirupati laddus, validating CM Naidu’s allegations

HYDERABAD: In a shocking development that has sent ripples through the devotee community, test reports from the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) in Gujarat have confirmed the presence of beef fat, fish oil in the ghee used for preparing the sacred Tirupati laddu prasadam. This revelation validates the serious allegations made by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu against the previous YS Jagan government.

The NDDB test results have revealed an appalling list of adulterants in the ghee, including beef tallow and lard, alongside other oils like soybean, rapeseed, and palm. With nearly every parameter failing the standard test values, Hindus are now left wondering how such a sacrilegious compromise could have been made at Tirumala.

CM Naidu had earlier accused the YSRCP administration of desecrating the holy site of Tirumala by compromising the purity of the renowned prasadam. “The YSRCP government didn’t care about the quality of the laddu. They used beef fat and fish oil  instead of pure ghee and sold these to devotees,” Naidu had stated during a political alliance meeting in Mangalagiri.

The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) had demanded action following Naidu’s allegations. VHP National Spokesperson Vinod Bansal had tweeted, “This very serious issue needs quick stern action against the culprits.” The confirmation of these claims has now intensified calls for a thorough investigation and accountability.

Former TTD member Ramana’s earlier statement about the quality compromise of Tirumala Laddu during the previous administration now appears prescient in light of these test results.

The revelation has sparked outrage among Hindu organisations and devotees across the country. Many are questioning the oversight of religious practices and calling for stricter quality control measures in the preparation of sacred foods at major pilgrimage sites.
