HYDERABAD: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has called for immediate action following shocking allegations made by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu regarding the use of animal fat in the sacred Tirupati laddu prasadam. The claims have sparked outrage among devotees and Hindu organizations across the country.

Vinod Bansal, National Spokesperson of VHP, tweeted, “Tirupati Balaji Prasad Laddu, which is a blessing for crores of Hindus globally, may contain animal fat. This very serious issue, raised by none other than the present CM Shri Chandrababu Naidu, needs quick stern action against the culprits.”

Bansal also urged the Hindu community to remain vigilant, drawing parallels to incidents involving “Islamic Jihadist #ThukThukGang” in other parts of the country.

CM Naidu’s allegations, made during a political alliance meeting in Mangalagiri, accuse the previous YSRCP government of replacing pure ghee with animal fat in the preparation of the laddus, compromising the sanctity of the prasadam.

“The YSRCP government didn’t care about the quality of the laddu. They used animal fat instead of pure ghee and sold these to devotees,” Naidu stated, further accusing the previous rulers of exploiting Lord Venkateswara for illegal gains.

Former Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) member Ramana corroborated these claims, stating that the quality of Tirumala Laddu was indeed compromised during the previous administration.

The controversy has ignited a firestorm on social media, with numerous netizens expressing shock and anger over the revelations. Several Hindu organizations have joined the VHP in demanding a thorough investigation into the matter and severe punishment for those responsible if the allegations are proven true.

As the news unfolds, devotees are calling for transparency in the prasadam preparation process and reassurances about its purity.
