New Delhi:“Vedas are the treasure of physical and spiritual knowledge and the root of the whole universe. They work to connect the whole world” said, RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat at the launch of the third edition of the Hindi commentary of the Vedas by Shripad Damodar Satvalekar at the Ambedkar International Center, Delhi.

“Both Vedas and India are one. They are the basis of Sanatan Dharma. There is also abundance of knowledge, science, mathematics, religion, medicine and music in the Vedas”, he said.

He said that the principles of arithmetic, cube and cube root are also clearly mentioned in the mantras of the Vedas. “The Vedas contain the welfare of the whole world. The Vedas show the path to unity to all humanity of the world. In Sanatan culture, one does not have to compete to live life, this is what the Vedas have taught us”.
“Our sages had composed the Vedas for the welfare of the world with this view. In our country, when the stomach of the son is full, the mother is satisfied. Science may not accept this, but this is a joy beyond materialism. The basis of Vedas can be seen in all systems of knowledge. The entire humanity will keep getting enlightened by the study of Vedas,” Dr Bhagwat further said.

Emphasising the values of Vedas, he said that, “Vedas came with creation. The meaning of Vedas can be explained only by those who live the life of Vedas, it will be good if they explain its meaning. Organisation is also in Vedas. How to form an organisation. Its formula is also told in Vedas.”

He further said that we do not have to get into debates regarding Vedas, because there is no benefit in it. Those who believe should read and follow. “The time has come for the rise of Sanatan Dharma. The attitude of the world is also changing regarding this. We also know that these Vedas are our means to move forward,” he said.

Mahamandaleshwar Swami Balakanand Giri Ji Maharaj said that the invaders tried to destroy the Vedas and Sanatan Gurukuls, but they could not destroy the Vedas that were etched in the memories of our sages. That is why the Vedas are and will remain permanent in Indian culture.

The launch of the Hindi commentary in 10 volumes of the four Vedas was done by Dr Bhagwat. VHP’s Patron and Central Management Committee member Dinesh Chandra told the gathering that, Swadhyay Mandal Pardi, Gujarat and the Veda Study Center of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University, Delhi have put in 10 years of hard work in publishing 8 thousand pages of these four Vedas, written in commentary by Shripad Damodar Satvalekar.

Dr Vishnu Pratap Thosar, Working President Swadhyay Mandal Pardi, Dinesh Chandra ji, VHP Patron, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Balakanand Giri Ji Maharaj, Prof Ramesh Kumar Pandey, Former VC of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University and many other notable dignitaries were present at the event. Scholars and their associates engaged in this noble work were also honoured on this occasion.
