PATNA: Amidst the ongoing tug of war between the NDA and opposition leaders over the state of law and order in Bihar, a video of Rashtriya Janata Dal, MLA from Kishanganj Kochadhaman, Muhammad Izhar Asafi has gone viral on the internet.

In the said video that is briskly doing rounds on the internet, the RJD’s MLA could be heard threatening a school teacher over an incident of July this year. According to the reports, the said teacher had allegedly beaten a student and the MLA had arrived at the school for a visit.

You think you will get out of the jail on bail within two days if a case is filed against you, I will teach you a lesson in the jail in those two days itself, 90% of people in the jail belongs to us this include thieves, murderers, thugs etc., if nothing happen to you outside, we will get done with you in jail itself, said the MLA in the viral video. The video was reportedly posted initially on Facebook by MLA’s son Muhammad Imtiyaz Asfi, which soon went viral on the internet.

Notably, the development has arrived amidst bitter exchange of words between the RJD and the NDA leaders over law and order situation of the state where former deputy Chief Minister, Tejaswi Yadav has been continuously alleging Chief Minister Nitish Kumar led coalition government in failing to contain the surge in crimes in the state.

Though contrary to the claims of the opposition, the NDA leaders have been keep reminding Yadav about the law and order status in the “Jungleraj”, a term widely used for the consecutive governments of Bihar under Lalu Prasad Yadav rule. It is worth mentioning here, that of late the state has witnessed a surge in crime given rise in incidents of murder and loot, stirring a fresh political row between the opposition and the ruling alliance over law and order situation.
