RAIPUR: Lashing out at the Congress party for denying justice to its women workers, former Congress national media coordinator and incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Radhika Khera on Monday, September 09 once again reiterated her allegation linked to misbehavior by the fellow Congress leader at Rajiv Bhavan in Raipur.

Addressing a press conference in Raipur, the former Congress leader comes down heavily on Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi who in a recent statement during his US visit has alleged that the “BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) believes that the women should stay at home, cook foods and not talk too much while we believe that women should be allowed to aspire to whatever they want to do”.

#RSS #BJP has no history of exploiting or oppressing women.
From Tandoor killing to Assam & Kerala, #RahulGandhi party has glorious history of sexual abuse.
RSS & allies organisations have more women members than all the left organisations put together. https://t.co/afDRHamDo2

“Rahul Gandhi talks big about the welfare of the women in foreign countries though he fails to ensure justice to the women workers of the Congress party. Women workers are beaten up in the party’s national headquarters. I want to ask Rahul Gandhi from where he gathers the courage to talk great things about women when he himself advise the women workers of the party to be silent and not to seek justice ,” said Khera.

The BJP leader further trained guns at former Chief Minister, Bhupesh Baghel and said that “Bhupesh Baghel invites the women workers as daughters for Teeja festival celebration, I too have arrived here on his invitation on multiple occasions, though I was not aware that he is not Kakka (uncle) but Kansa as he used to invite us as daughters but when it came to deliver justice, he fails to act and advised me to leave the state”.

Khera also recalled the incident that triggered her to cut her long association with the Congress party stating that she was abused and humiliated. “I had called almost all the senior office-bearers of the party and narrated my ordeal but I was advised to be quiet about it”.

I was forced to leave the party as not even a show cause notice was issued to the accused person in my case said Khera, while pointing out that the party should have initiated action against either the accused person or against her if there was anything untrue in the allegations.

My fight is not against any individual but with the Congress party as Rahul Gandhi talks about justice to women, my fight is against those who say don’t be scared but are himself scared, why there is no committee to investigate such allegations, added Khera.

Notably, Khera resigned from primary membership of Congress party in May this year alleging mistreatment by the party’s colleagues at party’s state headquarters in Raipur and subsequent denial of justice given she paid a visit to the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

In her resignation letter the former Congress leader had summarised that she was singled out and denied justice as she couldn’t stop herself from visiting Ram Lalla in Ayodhya.
