Imphal: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Manipur Pranta, convened a special meeting on Saturday to address the deteriorating law and order situation in Manipur. The meeting, which included key members of the RSS Karyakarini, focused on the recent spate of violence that has claimed several innocent lives, particularly in areas like Koutruk, Tronglaobi, and Moirang.

In a press release issued after the meeting, the RSS strongly condemned the use of advanced weaponry by Kuki militants, including drones, rockets, and missiles, in their attacks on civilian populations. According to the organization, the use of such technology by militants in civilian attacks may be unprecedented globally, marking a new and alarming escalation in the ongoing conflict.

“These violent assaults on innocent people, using sophisticated weapons such as drones and missiles, are not only shocking but also unheard of in conflicts around the world. It highlights the dire security situation in Manipur and calls for immediate and decisive action,” the RSS said in its statement.

The Manipur unit of the RSS expressed profound disappointment with both the State and Central governments for their continued failure to resolve the conflict that has persisted for over a year. Despite multiple interventions, the group noted, the violence continues unabated, leaving civilians caught in the crossfire and fueling the displacement of hundreds of people from their homes.

“The fact that peace has not been restored after such a prolonged period is deeply concerning. Both the State and Central governments must step up their efforts and implement stronger measures to bring the situation under control. The people of Manipur have suffered for far too long,” the RSS noted.

The meeting also discussed the increasing insecurity faced by the local population, as well as the critical need for coordinated efforts between law enforcement and security forces to tackle the growing influence of Kuki militants in the region.

In conclusion, the RSS called upon both the State and Central governments to take immediate and concrete steps to restore peace and normalcy in Manipur. The organization stressed that only swift and strong action can prevent further loss of life and property in the region.

The conflict between Kuki militants and the local population has caused significant instability in Manipur, with violence spreading across multiple districts. Civilian communities remain under threat, while authorities continue to struggle to bring the escalating situation under control.
