“Gujarat has benefited from this scheme of the Prime Minister, Jal Sanchay Yojana and Sujalam Sufalam Yojana. The water conservation has increased by 11 lakh cubic metres in Gujarat. CM Patel also stated that Vadodara is the first district in the country to do rainwater harvesting in every village.

“Vadodara is the first district in the country where rainwater harvesting has been done in every village. Which is the key to Gujarat’s success,” CM Patel said,

“Prime Minister always thinks ahead of time. He puts his ideas at the forefront for the country. With this vision of his, Gujarat is now taking the country ahead. The country is going to become the 3rd largest economic power in the world. The credit for this goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said.

Under this programme, around 24,800 rainwater harvesting structures are made that will enrich rainwater harvesting and ensure long-term water sustainability across the state.

Speaking about the initiative, PM said that the country with an always visionary and comprehensive approach, needs to stand ahead to find solutions to battle with the water crisis for the whole world.

PM Modi further said, “It is said that all the living beings have originated from water and their lives depends on it.
