In a devastating development, militants deployed a sophisticated long-range bomb in Moirang on September 6, resulting in the death of one civilian and injuring five others. He died at the scene, making him the first casualty in this series of attacks.
Five others were injured in the bombing:

The injured individuals were quickly rushed to nearby medical facilities for treatment. State security forces have reached the site and launched an investigation into the incident, although no militant group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Security Forces on High Alert
Manipur’s security forces have been on high alert in light of the escalating situation, conducting combing operations in affected areas in an effort to locate and neutralise the militants responsible for these attacks. With the use of drones and sophisticated weaponry now a central concern, the authorities are reassessing their strategies to counter these new threats.
This latest wave of violence has led to growing demands for peace and stability in the region, with local leaders and citizens urging authorities to intensify their efforts to restore order.
