An alarming incident occurred in the Hapur district where Muslims targeted Hindu pilgrims participating in the Kanwar Yatra, leading to significant unrest and police intervention. According to reports, the attackers spat on the pilgrims, threw dirty water, and pelted stones, prompting police to take action, followed by tensions in the area.

The incident took place on Bulandshahr Road as a group of Kanwariyas, who were returning from Haridwar with ganga jal, passed by a madrasa.

Witnesses reported that a group of Muslims, standing outside the madrasa, began the attack by spitting on the pilgrims. This was followed by the throwing of dirty water and stones. After carrying out these acts of aggression, the attackers fled into the madrasa and locked the doors behind them.

Upon learning of the attack, other Kanwar pilgrims became outraged. They placed their canisters by the roadside and staged a protest outside the madrasa. The situation quickly drew the attention of Hindu organisations, which sent representatives to the scene. The escalating unrest prompted a large deployment of police forces to manage the situation and ensure the safety of the pilgrims.

Police reports indicate that two suspects have been detained for questioning. Authorities are using video footage of the incident to identify additional individuals involved in the attack. The video, which has been widely shared on social media, has generated significant public outrage and criticism.

कहां से आती है ये सोच ? pic.twitter.com/JQGI3AqB8M

The viral video has sparked widespread anger, with many questioning the intense hostility directed towards the Kanwar pilgrims. Critics are calling for an end to the divisive behaviour and are demanding strict action against those responsible for the attack. Public sentiment reflects a broader frustration with communal tensions and a call for greater respect and harmony among different religious communities.

Authorities are facing mounting pressure to address the incident comprehensively and prevent further escalation. The situation remains under close watch as investigations continue and efforts are made to restore communal peace in the region.
