Jharkhand: Police beats students protesting against Bangladeshi infiltrators; Babulal Marandi questions CM Soren

Marandi's posts have intensified the call for immediate and stringent action against the infiltration and the alleged police brutality. The situation in Pakur highlights the broader issues of illegal immigration, community tensions, and governmental response, raising urgent questions about security and the protection of vulnerable populations in Jharkhand

In Jharkhand’s Pakur district, a climate of fear has been instilled by Bangladeshi infiltrators, leading to a mass exodus of Hindus from their homes. Harassment of Hindu girls has become a common occurrence, and the issue of “land jihad” has surfaced, further escalating tensions.

In response, students organised protests against these illegal infiltrators, which were met with brutal retaliation by the Jharkhand police under the administration of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

Former Chief Minister and Jharkhand BJP President Babulal Marandi brought this issue to light by sharing numerous photographs of police brutality on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). He called on the Pakur District Magistrate to take immediate action against the police officers involved and to ensure proper medical treatment for the injured students.

In his post, Marandi stated, “It has been reported from Pakur that late last night, Hemant Soren’s government police brutally beat young students protesting against the illegal infiltration of Bangladeshi Muslims by entering their hostel. The gruesome pictures of this cowardly attack on students are disturbing.”

He continued, “Hemant Soren, why are you showering so much love on outsiders while oppressing the young students who are raising their voices against infiltration to protect their mothers and sisters? Bangladeshi infiltrators pose a threat to the identity and existence of Jharkhand. By protecting them, you are jeopardising the security of the 35 million people of the state.”

Rising Tensions and Community Clashes

Recently, a Muslim boy in Pakur attempted to make a video of a Hindu girl and spread it online. This incident sparked protests from the Hindu community, leading to the boy being beaten. In retaliation, members of the Muslim community gathered outside Hindu homes, resulting in violent clashes with stones being thrown from both sides, causing damage to property.

BJP leaders have claimed that the fear of Bangladeshi infiltrators is driving Hindus to consider migrating from the area, leaving villages deserted. Marandi remarked, “The situation in Jharkhand is becoming as bad as Kashmir in the 90s and present-day Bengal and Kerala. State governments are turning a blind eye to attacks on Hindus under the guise of Muslim appeasement.”

Land Jihad and Threats to Tribals

In Gayaabadan, under the jurisdiction of Maheshpur police station in Pakur, Bangladeshi infiltrators are reportedly evicting tribal people from their lands. A video has surfaced showing Bangladeshi Islamic infiltrators threatening tribal residents, stating they would make their lives miserable. Marandi has vigorously raised this issue as well.

On X, Marandi wrote, “Listen to this dangerous threat by illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators to the tribals of Jharkhand: ‘We will make your life difficult.’ This gives an idea of the terrifying future of Jharkhand! In Gayaabadan under Maheshpur police station in Pakur district, a case of ‘land jihad’ has emerged, where infiltrators have seriously injured landowners by beating them.”

He further criticised Hemant Soren’s government, stating, “Hemant Soren, the self-proclaimed contractor of Abua Raj and Jal-Jungle-Zameen, has now taken on the contract to erase the identity of the tribals. In Hemant Soren’s government, if tribals do not hand over their land to Bangladeshi infiltrators, their lives will be made miserable. The increasing atrocities on tribal women and daughters on the land of tribal heroes are extremely sad.”

Calls for Action

Marandi’s posts have intensified the call for immediate and stringent action against the infiltration and the alleged police brutality. The situation in Pakur highlights the broader issues of illegal immigration, community tensions, and governmental response, raising urgent questions about security and the protection of vulnerable populations in Jharkhand.
