In a disquieting turn of events, a group of Islamists reportedly chanted slogans outside the Musafirkhana Police Station on July 14, stating “Hindustan mein rehna hai Ya Hussain kehna hai” (If you want to live in India, you have to say ‘Ya Hussain’).

The local police have swiftly responded to the situation.

Superintendent of Police Anoop Kumar Singh addressed the media, confirming that an FIR has been lodged and several suspects have been detained for questioning.

“A video has been brought to our notice via social media under Musafirkhana Police Station. Persons appearing in the video have been detained for questioning. An FIR has been registered in the matter. Investigation is underway. Appropriate action will be taken,” stated SP Singh.

Community leaders have also voiced their concerns. Mauni Ji Maharaj, the head priest of Swami Paramhans Ashram Sagara Babuganj, emphasized the gravity of the situation.

“Raising such slogans in front of the police station creates an atmosphere of fear in the region. I demand immediate action in the matter from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the district administration so that the evil intentions of such elements can be stopped,” he said.

Maharaj further alleged that these incidents might have deeper, more sinister motivations.

“The roots of such elements extend to Pakistan. These people intend to cause communal violence in India and destroy the ‘Ganga-Jamuni’ culture. Hence, immediate action should be taken,” he asserted.

He suggested the possibility of a political conspiracy behind the slogans, claiming that anti-social elements under political protection aim to incite conflict between Hindus and Muslims.

The situation in Amethi remains tense as authorities continue their investigation. Community leaders and the public await decisive actions to ensure peace and prevent further escalation of communal tensions.
