An IT student and her family were compelled to move to a new colony after enduring persistent harassment from a Muslim youth named Adnan in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore district. However, the harassment did not stop there; Adnan tracked the victim to her new residence and continued his advances. The situation escalated when the victim’s father and brother confronted Adnan at his home on July 5, only to be attacked by Adnan’s brother, Arshad, wielding an iron rod.

The family then sought assistance from Bajrang Dal activists and filed a formal complaint against the accused. The local police have since booked Adnan and Arshad under sections related to molestation and assault.

The IT student reported to the police that she initially lived in Gurukul Colony in the Rau area. During this time, Adnan would stalk her and repeatedly asked for her mobile number. When she refused, he threatened to throw acid on her. Alarmed, the victim informed her father about the harassment. Her father subsequently spoke with Adnan’s father, who promised to remove Adnan from the area. Despite this assurance, Adnan continued his misconduct, prompting the family to relocate to a different colony.

However, Adnan soon discovered their new address and resumed his harassment. On July 5, the victim reported that while she was boarding a city bus to her coaching class in Navlakha, Adnan followed her. Upon reaching her coaching centre, he forcibly grabbed her hand and pressured her to talk to him. The victim managed to take out her phone to call her father, which caused Adnan to flee the scene.

Upon returning home, the victim recounted the incident to her father and brother. They then went to Adnan’s house to confront him. Instead, they encountered his brother Arshad, who attacked them with an iron rod, causing injuries.

Seeking help, the victim’s family contacted Bajrang Dal activist Ram Dangi and others. The activists apprehended Adnan and Arshad and handed them over to the police. The police have registered an FIR against the brothers under sections pertaining to molestation and assault and are currently interrogating the accused.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to gather more evidence and ensure the safety of the victim and her family.
