Bollywood actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut came in for a rude shock on the afternoon of June 6 at Chandigarh airport after she was reportedly slapped by a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) guard.

According to reports in the media, the incident took place after the security check while Ranaut was heading to the boarding gate. The CISF personnel involved, identified as LCT Kulwinder Kaur, allegedly slapped Ranaut. Though the exact reason behind the attack remains unclear, it is speculated that the guard was upset over Ranaut’s previous statements regarding the farmers’ protest in India.

CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur slapped Mandi MP Kangana Ranaut.

Why? Because She was upset with her on her previous remarks about Farmer's Protest.

They don't even care about their position and duty.

Later on, Kangana issued a statement in which she said that she was safe and told that the CISF personnel were supporting the farners protest and were angry with her over the remarks that she had made. Kanagana added that is disturbing to see how militant activities are increasing in Punjab.

Ranaut had recently won the Lok Sabha seat from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi constituency, was en route to New Delhi when the altercation occurred.

Neither Kangana Ranaut nor the CISF have issued an official statement about the incident yet. However, it is anticipated that Ranaut will file a formal complaint with the Home Ministry in Delhi.

This incident comes just days after Ranaut’s significant electoral victory over her closest rival, Vikramaditya Singh of the Congress, by a margin of over 74,000 votes. Following her win, Ranaut expressed her gratitude to her supporters in Mandi through an Instagram post. She wrote, “Heartfelt gratitude to all the people of Mandi for this love and trust… This victory belongs to all of you, this is the victory of your trust in Prime Minister Modi and BJP, this is the victory of Sanatan and in the honour of Mandi.”
