The Karanataka Government has openly showcased its dictatorial attitude as it apprehended renowned social media activist @BhikuMahtre for openly exposing the Congress Party manifesto. Bhiku Mhatre took to X and stated that the Congress wanted to intimidate him for speaking the truth, and he was prepared to fight against any injustice & would take the full judicial course, even if that meant approaching the highest court. He added that he had not written anything that was inflammatory or communal.

So it seems CONgress wants to intimidate me for speaking Truth. I'm ready to fight against any injustice & will take full Judicial Course even if that means approaching Highest Court, as I have never written anything which may be called as inflammatory or communal.

Netizens have slammed the Bengaluru police for its action, as it is mandatory for it to issue notice before the arrest. Bengaluru Cyber Crime Cell apprehended Mhatre from Goa for his tweet against Congress in the evening on May 18.

Amit Malviya who In-charge of BJP’s National Information & Technology Dept. Co-incharge West BengalBJP stated, “Karnataka Police has arrested @MumbaichaDon from Goa. We are in touch with his family and will ensure he gets all legal support. Congress has unleashed anarchy and is intolerant of dissent. But there won’t be another emergency in this country, ever.”

In the past, both the Congress and the opposition have indulged in such atrocities on those who openly exposed them on social media. The hypocrisy of the Congress party has come to the fore, as most of the time Rahul Gandhi says that BJP suppresses free speech.

So @MumbaichaDon is arrested for tweeting on @INCIndia manifesto by Karnataka police… then @RahulGandhi would say the BJP suppresses free speech. Remember, most of the journalists & social media activists have faced police actions by the INDI Alliance state governments pic.twitter.com/dPcs69xFKG

It is important to mention  that most of the journalists & social media activists have faced police actions by the I.N.D.I Alliance state governments.
