‘Maybe I was born here in my last birth, or will be born again as child of a Bengali mother,’ says PM Modi at Malda

Addressing a sea of supporters in Malda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi articulated his deep appreciation for the unwavering support extended by the people of West Bengal. “Aapka prem mere sar aankhon par…” resonated across the rally grounds as the crowd cheered fervently.

In a moment of emotional connection, PM Modi expressed, “You people are showering so much love that I think I have a deep-rooted connection with you all and West Bengal. As if I were born here in my past life or I will take birth here in my coming life, as the child of a Bengali mother. You people have gathered here in huge numbers and many are suffering due to heat and the crowd, but are still standing strong behind me. I feel overwhelmed.”

Taking a dig at the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Congress party, PM Modi highlighted their alleged disregard for the nation’s welfare. He criticised their focus on minority appeasement, accusing them of neglecting the rights of Dalits and OBCs. “TMC and Congress are just pretending to be in a conflict in the State, but the truth is, the character and ideology of both these parties are the same,” he asserted.

PM Modi further lambasted the Congress party’s proposed investigation into the assets of the poor, labelling it as a scheme to perpetuate posthumous exploitation. He warned against the Congress’s purported intention to seize assets and distribute them among their vote bank, while accusing the TMC of tacitly supporting such agendas.

Turning his attention to the agricultural sector, PM Modi vowed to prioritise the welfare of farmers in Malda, renowned for their production of Makhanas and mangoes. He pledged to establish a food processing industry to enhance their income while condemning the TMC’s alleged interference in such initiatives.

“Nothing can happen in Bengal without corruption. They did not even spare farmers… TMC has regularly played with the future of Bengal’s youth… 26000 families were left jobless, along with the burden of loans they had taken to pay TMC to secure those jobs,” he added.

Highlighting the plight of jobless families and rampant corruption under TMC rule, PM Modi lamented the decline of Bengal from a once-pioneering state to a hub of scams and malfeasance. He underscored the need for transformative governance to revive Bengal’s legacy of progress and prosperity.
