In a startling revelation from the Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh, a Muslim man identified as Tabrez allegedly assumed the false identity of ‘Aryan Prasad’ to ensnare a Dalit woman into a fraudulent relationship. The deceitful plot involved luring the woman under the guise of love, followed by attempted marriage and sexual exploitation, as per reports.

The incident surfaced on February 25, when the family of the victim alerted the authorities. Subsequently, the police swiftly apprehended the accused, initiating a thorough investigation into the matter. According to preliminary findings, Tabrez, hailing from Khushinagar, introduced himself to the girl as Aryan Prasad, son of Jaihind Prasad, under the pretext of being a Hindu policeman.

Over the course of approximately a year, the accused cultivated a romantic relationship with the woman and eventually proposed marriage. Assuring the victim’s family of his financial stability and pledging to provide for their daughter’s well-being, Tabrez succeeded in gaining their consent for the marriage, leveraging his fabricated Hindu identity.

The wedding was scheduled for February 25, with invitations extended to relatives from both sides. However, on the auspicious day, the groom’s absence raised suspicion. Tabrez cited his mother’s sudden illness as the reason for the no-show of his relatives. Despite initial concerns, he managed to persuade the woman’s family to proceed with the ceremony.

As the wedding rituals commenced, the facade began to crumble. The purported gold jewellery presented by the groom was exposed as fake, casting doubt on his authenticity. A dramatic turn of events unfolded when the groom’s wig fell off during a confrontation with the bride’s family, revealing his true appearance.

Unbelievable fraud

Upon further interrogation and scrutiny of his identification documents, including his Aadhaar Card, it was confirmed that the groom was indeed Tabrez, a Muslim, and not Aryan Prasad as claimed. Prompt action by the police led to the arrest of the accused, unmasking his meticulously orchestrated ploy to deceive and marry the Hindu woman.

As investigations progress, authorities delve deeper into the intricacies of the case, aiming to unravel the extent of deception and ensure justice for the victim and her family.
