Kishangarh/Ajmer 24 February:  On Saturday, February 24, the second day of the All India Representative Assembly of the Bharatiya Kisan sangh, in the fourth session, the discussion started on the proposal presented on the marketing system of food grains and political election maneuvers in the farmers’ movement. Farmer representatives from all over the country expressed their views in the discussion on the proposal of the farmers’ movement. Farmers said that the policy of our organisation is that farmers’ interest lies within the framework of national interest. Therefore we do not support violent movements.

But the farmers have warned that the governments should not consider our priority of discipline, national interest and dialogue as weakness. In the proposal presented by the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, General Secretary Mohini Mohan Mishra, while keeping the opinion of the farmers across the country, said that when the farmer organizations of the country come to Delhi in a disciplined and peaceful manner and present the problems and demands of the farmers. The government does not consider it appropriate to talk to them. The attitude of the government is somewhat regrettable. Due to which the possibility of promoting violent agitation increases.

Mishra said that due to political election maneuvering in the name of farmers, only the farmers are suffering losses. In which the farmer is suffering as well as dying. This is sad. Today, through violent agitation in the country, negative sentiments are being created in the society towards the farmers’ movement. Through the resolution presented in the House of Representatives, the Farmers Union demanded that the violent movement should not be encouraged, supported and helped. Government, administration and society should also adopt a policy of zero tolerance towards violent methods.

BKS put forward suggestions for the betterment of farmers

General Secretary Shri Mishra, while presenting the suggestions in the House of Representatives to solve the problems of farmers, said that farmers should get remunerative prices on the basis of cost. GST on agricultural inputs should be abolished. There should be a substantial increase in Kisan Samman Nidhi. GM seeds should not be allowed by giving priority to organic and not poison. Seeds are the right of farmers, governments should make arrangements to stop exploitation of farmers in markets and markets.

A comprehensive policy should be made for marketing of grain
In the resolution regarding Shri Anna in the House of Representatives, it was said that India’s direction towards providing healthy food to the world will prove to be a boon in the future. The Government of India is also doing good work to promote Shree Anna. With the intention of providing nutritious food to the military personnel working in the security military institutions of the country, the government has contributed twenty-five percent in the food. This is a welcome step. Through the proposal, the Farmers Union suggested that there should be no tampering with the traditional seeds of Shri Anna and its adequate production and availability at a fair price should be ensured. In the proposal, the farmers union also demanded a comprehensive policy for marketing of grain.
