On the second day of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s National Convention being held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday proposed a second political resolution named “BJP Desh Ki Aasha, Vipaksh Ki Hatasha,” mainly focused on the opposition’s I.N.D.I. Alliance.

Presented by Amit Shah and seconded by Union Minister Arjun Munda, the seven-page political proposal accuses the Congress of being the root of instability, bitterness, cunningness, and divisive politics. It highlights the opposition’s attacks on Indian culture, disrespect towards constitutional institutions, and engagement in violence and anarchy.

Key Points of the Resolution

The political resolution was presented by Amit Shah, and it was seconded by Union Minister Arjun Munda.
In the seven-page political proposal, the BJP has alleged that Congress is the mother of instability; Congress is synonymous with bitterness, cunningness, and strategy, a strange combination of the I.N.D.I. bloc, and anti-poor Congress; Congress is immersed in corruption; the divisive politics of Congress; attacks on Indian culture; and opposition of every progressive step by Congress.

“The Congress is the mother of instability and the synonym for India Alliance’s conflict, bitterness, and politics of deceit. This alliance is a strange amalgamation. The Congress is anti-poor. The Congress and its allied parties are submerged in the quagmire of corruption. Congress policies are divisive and detrimental to Indian culture. Congress has opposed every progressive step. Their politics oscillates between support and opposition. The politics of violence and lawlessness is practised by the India Alliance. The downfall of Congress is certain,” it added.

Congress’s insult to the country’s constitutional institutions and scientists, Congress’s immature and irresponsible politics, and the politics of violence and anarchy by the I.N.D.I. Alliance ensure the downfall of Congress.

Amit Shah’s Remarks at the Convention

During his address at the grand convention, Amit Shah criticised the coalition, labelling it as a breeding ground for corruption, nepotism, and appeasement politics, contrasting it with the BJP and NDA coalition’s commitment to prioritising national interests. He accused Congress and the India Alliance of exploiting Dalits, Adivasis, and marginalised communities as mere vote banks, highlighting the BJP-led Modi government’s efforts to ensure their inclusion and dignity.

Shah took a swipe at both the Congress Party and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), questioning why AAP leaders would not follow suit in corruption when Congress is deeply entrenched in it. He pointed out AAP’s involvement in scandals such as the liquor and neighbourhood clinic scams, as well as fraudulent practices in medical testing, resulting in their leadership evading legal scrutiny.

Censure of Violence and Anarchy

The resolution condemns incidents of violence targeting BJP workers in West Bengal by the TMC and incidents in Kerala involving CPI, CPM, and their allies. It also criticises the jungle rule established by the Rashtriya Janata Dal in Bihar and efforts to create an environment of anarchy by divisive elements.

“Congress and most of its allies included in the I.N.D.I.A. bloc have been united in the politics of anarchy and violence in the country. Recently, shocking incidents have come to light in Sandeshkhali, West Bengal. The TMC has been continuously trying to suppress the voice of the public by targeting BJP workers in West Bengal. There have been many incidents of murder and violence against BJP workers by the CPI, CPM, and their allies in Kerala,” the resolution read.

The country still remembers the kind of jungle rule established by Rashtriya Janata Dal in Bihar. Tribal women, farmers, and common people have had to endure many types of harassment and torture wherever they are in the country. In the name of movement, efforts are made by divisive elements to create an environment of anarchy.

“Wherever, in the name of movement, efforts are made to create an environment of anarchy by divisive elements in the country, Congress and its allies reach there first to add fuel to the fire. We pledge to continue our struggle against this type of negative politics,” it said.

Call for Resistance Against Negative Politics

Furthermore, the resolution questions the ideological basis of the I.N.D.I.A. bloc, alleging that it was formed solely to oppose Prime Minister Narendra Modi without any theoretical or ideological foundation. It points out the contradictory actions of the alliance’s parties, such as contesting against each other in elections in different states.

In conclusion, the resolution emphasises the need to continue the struggle against negative politics and ideological similarities among the parties in the I.N.D.I.A. bloc, suggesting that their primary goal is to obstruct Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s agenda.

“It was formed only to oppose Prime Minister Narendra Modi; hence, the alliance has no theoretical or ideological basis. The various parties involved in it contest elections against each other, and in many states, they oppose each other. In Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party contests against Congress, while in West Bengal, the Trinamool Congress and Congress party contest against each other,” it added.

There is an ideological similarity between them. Priyanka’s programme has some goals; only to stop Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Proposal for the Ram Mandir

Furthermore, BJP National President JP Nadda put forth a proposal for the Ram Temple, expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for overseeing the consecration of Ram Lalla’s idol within four years of the ground-breaking ceremony. Nadda highlighted the significance of this milestone, noting the unexpected realisation of the long-awaited construction of the Ram Temple and the return of Ram Lalla.
