The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Telangana unit took a significant step on Wednesday. February 14, by announcing its key leadership positions in both the State Legislative Assembly and Council.

In a statement released by the party, it was announced that Alleti Maheshwar Reddy, the MLA from Nirmal constituency, has been appointed as the Telangana BJP Legislature Party leader. This decision marks a notable milestone as Maheshwar Reddy becomes the first MLA from the former Adilabad district to assume such a role in the Assembly.

In the Council, the BJP state unit appointed AVN Reddy, representing the Teachers Constituency of Hyderabad, Rangareddy, and Mahabubnagar, as the floor leader.

Accompanying Aleti Maheshwar Reddy, Adilabad MLA Payal Shankar and Kamareddy MLA K. Venkata Ramana Reddy were appointed as deputy floor leaders, demonstrating a concerted effort by the party to distribute responsibilities across its ranks.

Additionally, the party nominated Sirpur MLA Palvai Harish to serve as the chief whip, entrusted with maintaining discipline and coordination within the legislative body. Nizamabad Urban MLA Dhanpal Suryanarayana Gupta was appointed as the whip, tasked with ensuring party members’ adherence to the party’s directives during legislative proceedings.

Furthermore, the BJP assigned Mudhol MLA Rama Rao Patel and Armoor MLA P. Rakesh Reddy as the party’s secretary and treasurer, respectively, to oversee administrative and financial matters. Currently, there are 8 members in the Assembly, including T Rajasingh, representing the Goshamahal constituency.

State BJP Chief G Kishan Reddy communicated the decision to appoint key leadership positions in both the Assembly and the Council through written correspondence addressed to the Secretaries of both legislative bodies.
