Dibrugarh: The picturesque Shiksha Valley School in Dibrugarh is set to host the 8th International Conference and Gathering of Elders from January 28 to February 1, 2024. This prestigious event, organised by the International Centre for Cultural Studies (ICCS), a non-political, non-religious, non-profit socio-cultural forum founded by Dr. Yashwant Pathak and his team, brings together spiritual masters from ancient traditions and cultures worldwide. With its headquarters in the USA, ICCS seeks to create a platform for Elders, irrespective of age, fostering cultural exchange and sustainable prosperity.

Selected as the venue due to its cultural diversity and representation of unity amid diversity, North East India is poised to welcome about 300 participants from over 33 nations. The conference aims to facilitate the sharing of spiritual wisdom, representation of traditions, and mutual cultural experiences. The agenda for the first three days includes paper presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and cultural nights revolving around ecological wisdom, collaborative governance, and the revival of traditions. On Days 1, 2, and 3, the conference will feature paper presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and cultural nights centred around the topics of ecological wisdom, collaborative governance, and revival of traditions.

The inaugural day will witness a rally in Dibrugarh Town from PhoolBagan to Thana Charali, setting the tone for the event. The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sharma, and RSS Sarsanghachaalak, Mohan Bhagwat Ji, will grace the opening ceremony. The conference’s grand finale will be marked by a field tour to RIWATCH, where participants will engage with local spiritual leaders. The Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu, will inaugurate the museum and the International House of Thoughts. Dattatreya Hosable, Sar Karyavah RSS, will be present on January 31, 2024, alongside the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh in Dibrugarh.

Dr Ratan Sharda ji, a representative of ICCS, expressed, “We extend a warm invitation to the press to join us at Shiksha Valley School in Dibrugarh to witness and cover this momentous occasion.”

Press representatives are encouraged to attend the conference, offering an opportunity to observe and report on this extraordinary gathering. Journalists will have the privilege of interacting with speakers, participating in panel discussions, and immersing themselves in the rich tapestry of diverse cultures.

ICCS, established in Nagpur, Bharat, in 1997, is dedicated to providing a platform for Elders from ancient traditions and cultures worldwide. Regardless of age, spiritual masters of ancient cultures are regarded as Elders. The organisation was founded by a group of academicians and scholars fascinated by the diverse ancient cultural traditions of the world, aligning with the Indian philosophy of life, promoting harmony with nature, and aspiring to universal well-being.

In conclusion, the 8th International Conference and Gathering of Elders promise to be a convergence of spiritual wisdom, cultural exchange, and collaborative efforts towards global prosperity. The Shiksha Valley School in Dibrugarh will serve as the melting pot where the world’s ancient traditions and cultures will unite for a transformative experience.
