In a tragic turn of events in the Kodarma region of Jharkhand, an FIR has been filed against a man named Suleman for the alleged murder of Ghanashyam Das, a Hindu man. The victim, Ghanashyam Das, had recently married Sultana, and the motive behind the gruesome act is suspected to be the interfaith nature of their union.
The FIR, dated December 14, details the circumstances leading to the murder, but as of now, no significant action has been taken by the police in the case.
According to a report by Aaj Tak, Sultana and Ghanashyam Das were deeply in love, and Sultana decided to marry him three years after the demise of her first husband. With concerns about the future of her two children, she chose to unite with Ghanashyam Das in matrimony.
While Sultana’s immediate family had no objections to her marrying a Hindu, her maternal uncle, Suleman, expressed strong disapproval. Prior to the marriage, Suleman had warned Sultana that he would take unfavorable actions to prevent the union. Despite the warnings, the marriage took place without any incident.
However, the happiness was short-lived, as the accused, Suleman, allegedly spiked drinks offered to Ghanashyam Das with poison. Tragically, Ghanashyam Das succumbed to the poison, leading to his untimely demise. The accused believed that Sultana had committed a grievous sin by marrying a man from the Hindu religion.
Sultana’s mother reveals that Suleman disapproved of Sultana marrying a Hindu man. The initial ten months of their second marriage proceeded smoothly. Unfortunately, the warnings issued by Suleman during the wedding have now materialised into a grim reality.
Following the death of Ghanashyam Das, an FIR has been lodged for the homicide at the Domchanch police station, based on her statement.
The police are actively investigating the case, with an inquiry supervised by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Anudeep Singh. ASP Singh stated that subsequent actions would be determined by the outcomes of the ongoing investigation.
The grieving widow, Sultana, has pleaded with the police to take swift and strict action against Suleman. She fervently hopes for justice to be served for the brutal murder of her second husband, who lost his life merely 10 months after their marriage. The alleged murder occurred on December 13, and the police officially filed the FIR on December 14.
As the investigation unfolds, authorities are delving deeper into the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident that has left a community in shock.
