Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024: PM Modi, UAE President Mohamed Bin Zayed ink several agreements in strategic sectors.

At the occasion of the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit held in Gandhinagar, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UAE President Mohamed Bin Zayed signed multiple significant bilateral agreements and Memorandum of Understandings in various sectors thereby boosting economy and prestige of the nation

The president of the UAE Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan addressed the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 on January 10, 2024 at the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar.

The speech signifies UAE strong ties with India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Following his speech, PM Modi, in a social media post X, lauded the UAE President and said that his statements were very encouraging.

“My Brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, not only supervised the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, but also spoke at the summit. His statements were very encouraging,” PM Modi said on X. “India is proud of his ideas and efforts to strengthen India-UAE Relations,” he added. “Welcome to India, my brother, His Highness Mohamed Bin Zayed it is an honour to have you with us,” PM Modi wrote on X.

He attached pictures that reflected the warm bond between the two leaders. The pictures showed two leaders hugging each other and holding each other’s hands at the airport. PM Modi and the UAE president later held a roadshow in Gandhinagar ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit. People in large numbers welcomed PM Modi and the UAE president in the city.

Dignitaries Present  

Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, MEA Chief Subramaniam Jaishankar, NSA Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra and other senior officials were also present at the airport PM Modi who received the UAE president at the Gandhinagar Airport on January 9, 2024 and described the UAE leader as “my brother” and said that it is an honour to have him in India.

MoU’s Signed

A day before, that is on January 9, 2024, India and the UAE signed several Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) in the presence of the PM Modi and Zayed-al-Nahyan. An MoU was signed between India’s ministry of New and Renewable energy and the UAE Minister of Investment-on-Investment Cooperation (IIC) in Renewable Energy Sectors. Another MoU was signed between India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the UAE ‘s IIC in Innovative healthcare projects.

A third MoU was signed and it involved the Indian Ministry of Food Processing Industries and the UAE’s IIC in Food Park Development and another MoU between DP World UAE and the Gujarat government on Creating Sustainable Green and Efficient Ports.

Vibrant Gujarat Summit

The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit was started in 2003 under the leadership of Modi when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. The tenth edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit is being held from January 10-12, 2024 in Gandhinagar. Its theme is Gateway to the Future. This tenth edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit as the Summit of Success. There are thirty-four partner countries and sixteen partner organisations for this year’s summit. The Ministry of Development of the North Eastern Region will also utilise the Vibrant Gujarat Summit to showcase investment opportunities in the North Eastern Regions.
