In a historic celebration of cultural unity, the Thai-Indian community in Bangkok is gearing up for the grand opening of the Sri Ram Temple on January 22, 2024. The organising committee, led by Shri Sanjay Kumar, Founder President of the Thai-Indian Community, finalised details of the momentous event that coincides with the Sri Ram Mandir inauguration ceremony on January 22.

Sanjay Kumar expressed the global significance of the Shri Ram Mandir inauguration ceremony and emphasised the community’s eagerness to participate in this grand occasion. The focal point of the celebration will be the stage play “Ram Lalla Ghar Aaye,” capturing the essence of the divine homecoming of Lord Ram. Additionally, a rich cultural programme on Ramayana, a captivating Ramkien dance show, and devotional dance performances will enchant the audience.

Anticipated to draw a crowd of 300 enthusiasts, the event promises to be a vibrant blend of spirituality, art, and tradition. Invitations will extend to Hindu and Buddhist organisations based in Thailand, fostering an inclusive atmosphere that transcends religious boundaries.

Highlighting the community’s commitment to the success of the event, a dedicated team of over 50 volunteers known as Shri Ram Sena will manage various activities related to the programme. Their efforts aim to ensure the seamless execution of the celebration and provide a memorable experience for attendees.

Jimmy Mishra, a key contributor to the event, shared the details of the programme, underscoring the diverse attractions that await participants. The inclusion of the Ramkien dance show, a traditional Thai performance inspired by the Ramayana, is a testament to the cultural exchange embedded in the celebration.

As the countdown to the grand occasion began, organisers expressed their gratitude for the support and enthusiasm exhibited by the Thai-Indian community. The celebration not only symbolises the spiritual significance of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi but also serves as a platform for fostering cultural understanding and collaboration.

The Thai-Indian community’s initiative reflects the global reach of cultural and religious events, with the Sri Ram Mandir inauguration resonating across borders. The event in Bangkok not only serves as a local celebration but also as a manifestation of the universal appeal of Bhagwan Ram’s story and teachings.

In the spirit of unity and reverence, the Thai-Indian community invites everyone to join in the festivities on January 21, marking a momentous chapter in the shared cultural heritage of Thailand and India. As the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi inauguration draws near, the anticipation for the celebration of Ram Lalla Ghar Aaye in Bangkok continues to build, promising a joyous and spiritually uplifting experience for all.
