Artists from across the country and abroad will present Ramleela on the inauguration day of Ram Mandir on January 22, 2024 in Ayodhya, stated a release. There will also be cultural programmes based on the traditions.
The Yogi Adityanath-led government is gearing up to create a unique, unforgettable, and divine atmosphere on the occasion of the seating of Bhagwan Sri Ram in his grand temple, an event to be held under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22, 2024.

The government aims to make the present as well as future generations aware of the ideals and values of Bhagwan Sri Ram through Ramotsav celebrations. The government also seeks to present to the world Navya (New) Ayodhya’s cultural and spiritual glory in its pristine form through the event after a gap of 500 years.

Ramleela artistes’ troupes from countries like Nepal, Cambodia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, etc., are being invited for the Ramotsav. Additionally, troupes from states like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Karnataka, Sikkim, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Chandigarh will also present various events based on the life of Bhagwan Sri Ram, the release added.

Ramleela performances from India and abroad are proposed to be staged on the Tulsi Manch located at the Tulsi Bhawan Memorial. The government has allocated a budget of Rs 2 crore for the staging of Ramleela performances. In January, lakhs of devotees from all over the world will visit Ayodhya and other significant religious and cultural cities in the state.

Keeping this in mind, preparations for various programmes are underway. CM Yogi has extended invitations to devotees from other states to visit Ayodhya through various programmes. It is worth noting that the Chief Minister has given Uttar Pradesh a new spiritual identity.

In this regard, the cultural and spiritual programmes in Ayodhya have been linked with reverence to ‘faith’. Various events will take place at different venues, such as Purushottam Manch in Ram Katha Park, Saryu Manch in Bhajan Sandhya Sthal, Kakbhushundi Manch in Tulsi Udyan, and Tulsi Manch in the Tulsi Smarak Bhavan during Ramotsav.
