In a shocking incident, a bus carrying Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) karyakartas were attacked by a group of bikers on their way to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Deen Dayal Cow Science Research and Training Center in Mathura. The assailants threw stones at the bus, followed by physical assaults and verbal abuse against the RSS volunteers. The situation escalated when a group of young men armed with sticks and rods arrived, leading to a full-blown altercation. In the aftermath, the police have taken half a dozen individuals into custody, while some remain at large.
The RSS karyakartas were travelling from a local post office towards Mathura on Monday night when the bus became the target of stone-pelting by bikers. Upon reaching the Mandi Committee, the bikers forcibly stopped the bus and subjected the RSS volunteers to verbal abuse. Within moments, a crowd gathered, with several individuals carrying sticks and rods. The confrontation between the bus passengers and the mob ensued, prompting the RSS volunteers to alert the police. Responding to the distress call, the police arrived at the scene, detaining six individuals involved in the altercation.
The incident took a sinister turn as it was revealed that the attack was orchestrated under the misconception that the RSS bus was carrying people for a wedding party. Station Officer Sanjay Tomar explained that a resident of Islamnagar, who had previously faced an assault at a wedding event in Pakbara, informed his relatives about the incident. Believing that those responsible for the assault were on the bus heading towards Noorpur, the attackers mistook the RSS bus for a wedding party bus and launched the assault.
Sanjay Tomar further disclosed that a complaint has been filed by RSS District Head Udayveer Tyagi against the head of Pipila village, his brother, and nephew, who were allegedly involved in the assault. Based on the complaint, charges are being filed under various sections of the law, and efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining suspects who fled the scene.
The details are yet to be confirmed, but as investigations continue, the detained individuals will face legal proceedings, and efforts are being made to bring the fugitives to justice.
