Kalamasserry Blasts: BJP National President JP Nadda blames Kerala government for serial blasts

BJP National President JP Nadda stated in Thiruvananthapuram that the soft approach of CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s CPM-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) towards extremists paved the way for the Kalamassery blasts on October 29.

The National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party JP Nadda called for proper and impartial inquiry in the series of Kalamasserry blasts that took place on October 29. Nadda added that it is essential to trace the forces and culprits who are behind the attack.

He was inaugurating the NDA-led Secretariat siege in Thiruvananthapuram. Party President referred to the Elathur train fire, in Kozhikode. He denounced the political leadership of the state in view of the virtual address by former Hamas chief Khaled Marshal during a pro-Hamas conclave organised by the Solidarity Youth Movement, Kerala, the youth wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind on October 27. The government of Kerala (GoK) remained a mute spectator when these incidents occurred. An impartial inquiry should be carried out to find out the conspiracy behind the Kalamasserry blasts. He assured the absolute support of the central government in this matter.

Nadda said that the LDF government is in nose-deep corruption in various sectors, including education, health, transport, and recruitment. He added that both the ruling LDF and the opposition Congress-led UDF are two sides of the same coin with respect to their soft approach towards communal forces. Both Fronts have a tactical understanding against BJP.

He referred to Karuvannur Service Cooperative Bank scam and the allegations of corruption being levelled against CM Pinarayi Vijayan and her daughter Veena Vijayan in the context of the alleged bribes received from the Kochi-based mining firm. He expressed serious concern about the spread of drug abuse among the youths and the increasing atrocities against women and children in Kerala. On the other hand, the NDA regime at the centre has been successful in leading the country towards development and self-sufficiency.

The country’s GDP has grown by 60 per cent and now Bharat is the 5th largest economy. Over 13.5 crore people have come out of the BPL level. Modiji’s good governance has reduced extreme poverty to less than 1 per cent of the population.

Speaking on the occasion, K Surendran, Kerala State President of BJP, alleged that both the ruling LDF and opposition Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) do spread the red carpet for the terrorist Hamas.

CK Janu, the undisputed leader of the Vanvasi communities in Kerala, blamed both LDF and UDF for neglecting the marginalised, weaker sections. Apart from senior Kerala BJP leaders, former union minister O. Rajagopal participated in the siege.

Thousands of BJP and NDA workers congregated at three gates of the Secretariat from 6 a.m. The siege was organised in protest against the misrule of the LDF regime.

Senior NDA leaders like Thushar Vellappally (BDJS) and BJP leaders O. Rajagopal, C.K. Padmanabhan, P.K. Krishnadas, and A.P. Abdullakutty were present.

Case registered against Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar

Meanwhile, the Cyber Cell of the Kerala Police has registered an FIR against Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar under Sections 153 (a) for allegedly promoting enmity between different groups (on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence). The case has been registered for the minister’s recent social media posts regarding the blast in Kochi as well as the former Hamas chief’s virtual address in connection with the Solidarity Youth’s pro-Hamas conclave in Malappuram. Rajeev Chandrasekhar reiterated his point that he had never spoken against any particular community; he specifically mentioned ‘Hamas’. Chandrasekhar sarcastically said that it looks like CM Vijayan wants to equate Hamas with a community.

BJP came down heavily on the CPM government for registering a fake case against Rajeev Chandrasekhar. Party President K Surendran said that the case has been registered to please and appease the extremists. Surendran maintained that the case against the minister shows the double standard and double justice followed by the CPM regime. It is third-rate vote bank politics.

Hamas leader’s virtual address for the Malappuram conclave called for the eradication of the Hindutwa forces. And no case has been registered against the organisers of that conclave. Government appeases the anti-national forces. Government is immersed in corruption and is an absolute failure in solving the peoples’ issues. Now, ’support for Hamas’ is its escape route. Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) leader and former minister, MK Muneer described Hamas terrorists as the freedom fighters like Bhagath Singh. CPM leader M. Swaraj said, Hamas people are human rights activists. Surendran said that the government should register a case against those who whitewash the terrorists. It is CPM state secretary MV Govindan who first told about terrorist links of the Kalamasserry blasts. Case should be registered against him if government is sincere. Pianarayi Vijayan plays vote bank politics in view of the imminent Lok Sabha polls. Congress leaders are following CPM policy in promoting vote bank politics. They will realise their fault after the Lok Sabha polls.
