Yet another case of fake love trap has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut district. As per the reports, the accused Haroon, posed as a Hindu man to tarp a woman in a relationship made a physical relationship and exploited her. When the woman learned about his true identity a case was registered and Haroon was arrested by the police.

The accused, Haroon, is a resident of Narheda; the police have registered a complaint, detained him, and further investigations are underway.

As per reports, the incident took place in the Lohianagar police station vicinity of Meerut. In her complaint to the police, the girl explained that she came into contact with the wrongdoer through social media. He initially identified himself as a Hindu and established a friendship with her. Subsequently, he consistently tried to cultivate a closer bond through online messaging, leading to the development of a frequent and friendly correspondence.

The girl recounted, “He initially contacted me on social media using a different name, after which we became friends. During this time, he ensnared me into a romantic relationship and subjected me to sexual misconduct.” After some time, she discovered the truth and objected. She disclosed, “He then resorted to threats and blackmail,” exhausted by the ordeal, she reported him to the authorities.

A case was promptly registered since the issue was bipartisan. The perpetrator was apprehended, but he claimed that the matter wasn’t related to “love jihad” but rather a dispute of a transactional nature with the complainant. Later, the girl underwent a medical examination, and her statement was officially recorded. She was also brought before the court, where her testimony was duly documented.
