Taking a veiled attack at  DMK Minister Udhyanidhi Stalin who is known now for his controversial speech on the eradication of Sanatana Dharma, Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi said Sanatan Dharma was “indestructible”.

While delivering the valedictory address at the Sanatana Ustav, organised by the Sri Palmaru Matha in Chennai, in the presence of Sri Vidhyadeesh Theertha Swamji , Ravi said anyone trying to eradicate or harm Sanatana Dharma is doing so with an aim to split the nation.

After releasing a English translation of Sri Mahabharata Taatparya Nirnaya on September 27,  Tamil Nadu Governor said, “That is how the erstwhile colonial Christian rulers succeeded at it; but we cannot afford another partition and hence spread the light of Sanatana Dharma  which  does not have an origin ; we do not know when it began but it was well documented in our Vedas;  thereafter it has reached over vast land. Tamil Nadu has been a holy place where sana tana dharma has prospered when the rest of the nation was suffering the pangs of subjugation. Sanatana Dharma is there in more than 1,100 stone inscriptions in the state”

Ravi said “visit Uthiraerur in Chengalpet, Ennayiram in Villupuram where  Kings had set a Vedic college in the 9th Century and Maanur in Tirunelveli which shows you about the sanatana dharma and its values. Those who are trying to deny  Sanatana Dharma and should go and destroy  all of the inscriptions . It can’t be done because it is in the DNA and many have tried. There is no discrimination or distinction, there is no upper, no lower nor intermediate , we are all equal in sana tana dharma”.

Coming down on people,  who have been saying negative things and causing distortions, Ravi said they are doing it only with a selfish motive and they disregarded the values of Sanatana Dharma. PM Narendra Modi is the true icon of Sanatana Dharma. It does not allow contradictions”

TN Governor said   “On the 9th and 10th of this month, the world celebrated the ‘Sanatana Utsava’ in New Delhi as we hosted the G20 Summit. This is because the G20 Summit under Bharat’s presidency was done with full commitment to Sanatana values, Sanatana Dharma, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam… Today, the world has begun celebrating Sanatana Dharma.”

Ravi said “Our Constitution says, ‘India that is Bharat’. Bharat is a product of Sanatana Dharma. Unfortunately, after the Britishers left, we didn’t do much to make the citizens understand what Bharat is.”
