In Rajasthan’s Sikar, two individuals have been apprehended, and a minor has been taken into custody in connection with the gang rape and murder of another minor girl. According to police reports, the primary suspect is a 15-year-old minor who has been detained, while his two associates, Sameer (19) and Ghulam (19), have been formally arrested. As per a report, all three individuals belong to the Muslim community.

The lifeless body of the minor girl was discovered in a well in Sikar district, Rajasthan, on September 24. Family members assert that the girl was tragically murdered subsequent to a heinous gang rape. The deceased, a 15-year-old student in the 10th grade, met this unfortunate fate.

As per the reports, the incident transpired at Ramgarh Market in Sikar. The 15-year-old girl, who hails from Churu district, was residing at her maternal residence for educational purposes. According to the family of the victim, the perpetrators entered their residence on the night of September 23 and forcibly took the girl away.

In response, the victim’s family lodged a complaint with the police, leading to the filing of a missing person’s report. Subsequently, law enforcement initiated efforts to locate the victim. Surveillance footage from CCTV cameras confirmed that the girl did not leave the village premises.

Following an extensive search, the girl’s lifeless body was discovered in the village well. The police took custody of the remains and arranged for a post-mortem examination. The victim’s family has leveled allegations of both gang rape and murder against the perpetrators.

A police officer stated, “We meticulously examined the CCTV footage installed along the path leading to the victim’s residence. The individuals in question were observed approaching and departing from the victim’s premises. Their identities have been confirmed through this footage. Additionally, one of the suspects displays an injury on his hand.”

In Ramgarh, local residents staged a protest, demanding swift action against the accused and criticizing the Gehlot government for what they perceived as a lackadaisical approach. Protesters even advised the Rajasthan Chief Minister to take a cue from UP CM Yogi Adityanath in dealing with criminals.

In a formal memorandum presented to the administration, the demonstrators are pressing for employment opportunities and a compensation of Rs 10 lakhs to be provided to the victim’s family. Additionally, they are insisting on the demolition of the accused individuals’ residence. The protesters have issued a stern warning to the administration, signaling their intent for further agitation if immediate measures are not taken.

The accused parties are presently under interrogation. Police authorities have emphasized that any legal actions will be pursued in accordance with the emerging facts from the investigation and the conclusions drawn from the post-mortem report. It has been reported that the victim’s final rites were solemnized in Jasrasar village, Sardarseher, as confirmed by family members.
