Bharat has found a new way to fight against malnutrition. In a unique initiative Savitha Rao, Founder – India    Positive Citizen talks about how they asking the people of the country to buy a portion of extra vegetables
when they go shopping every week and give it to someone who needs it. According to Rao, it is a simple way to provide healthy nutrition across our vast nation.

Poshan Pack – A Nutrient of Compassion

In the vibrant mosaic of India, where traditions blend and cultures thrive, a shared aspiration pulses within millions – the aspiration to make a meaningful difference. In the midst of this diversity, one issue persists – malnutrition. Introducing Poshan Pack, a grassroots movement under the umbrella of India Positive Citizen, reshaping the narrative of health, empathy, and social innovation.

Malnutrition in India: A Persistent Challenge

India is a land of disparities, where bustling urban centers coexist with regions of stark deprivation. Malnutrition silently haunts millions, especially in rural areas. It’s perplexing that a country so abundant in resources grapples with this issue. The World Bank reports that India is home to more than a third of the world’s malnourished children.

India Positive Citizen: Empowering Change

India Positive Citizen, inspired by the vision of Founder Savitha Rao, shines as a beacon of hope. This organization empowers individuals to become agents of transformation. One of its flagship initiatives, Poshan Pack, has captured the imagination of many.

Poshan Pack: Nourishment Made Simple

Poshan Pack, a brainchild of Savitha Rao, encapsulates the power of simplicity. At its core, it encourages people to buy an extra pack of vegetables and fruits during their routine grocery shopping and share it with someone in need. It’s a beautifully straightforward idea – nourishing bodies and spirits, one pack at a time.

Zero hunger is one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations in 2015. It aims to end hunger, achieve food security and improve nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture worldwide by 2030. Poshan Pack can help India make rapid strides towards this goal.

The Elegance of Compassion

What sets Poshan Pack apart is its sheer simplicity. It demands no grand infrastructure, substantial funding, or elaborate planning. Anyone, from a student to a retiree, can participate. It’s a movement where giving knows no bounds, transcending socio-economic barriers.

Benefits to Giver and Receiver

Poshan Pack’s magic lies in its dual benefits. For the receiver, it’s a lifeline, a gift of health and hope. For the giver, it’s an opportunity to experience the profound joy of giving. It bridges the chasm between privilege and need, weaving connections through compassion.

A World First, Uniquely Indian

Poshan Pack stands as a testament to India’s innovative spirit. It’s a solution rooted in Indian values, addressing a global issue. Its simplicity has captured the world’s attention, making it a pioneering global initiative. It illustrates that simple solutions can tackle intricate, large-scale problems.

Leveraging Small Gestures for Big Change

Poshan Pack echoes the ancient Indian philosophy of ‘Seva,’ or selfless service. It unites individuals in uplifting their communities. It reminds us that change need not always be monumental; it can commence with a small, kind act.

A Message of Unity and Empowerment

Poshan Pack transcends borders and cultures, uniting diverse communities. It’s a reminder that regardless of backgrounds, we share a common humanity. It empowers individuals to take charge of their communities, to become agents of positive change, and to be the difference they wish to see.

A Far-Reaching Impact

The impact of Poshan Pack resonates far and wide. It brings nourishment to those in need while nurturing a sense of belonging and hope. It rekindles the idea that change is possible, even in the face of daunting challenges.
