UP CM takes cognizance of cattle deaths due to lightning; instructs officials for financial assistance to herders

In response to the animal deaths caused by lightning in the Unnao district, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to pay assistance amount to the concerned cattle herders as per the rules

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the loss of animal life due to lightning in Unnao district and has given instructions to pay assistance amount to the concerned cattle herders as per the rules.

According to the report of Unnao district administration, 127 Sheep have died due to lightning in Hasanganj tehsil. While a mulching buffalo of another cattle rearer has also died due to lightning.

Following the loss, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the district administration to distribute financial assistance of Rs 4,000 per sheep to the affected cattle herders and Rs 37,500 to the affected cattle foster, according to an official statement.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also directed the officials to provide relief amounts to people affected by the inclement weather.

“There should be proper water drainage systems in case of water logging in areas. The danger mark of the rivers should be continuously reviewed”, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in the official statement.

In addition, the UP Chief Minister has also instructed the officials to take stock of the damage caused to the crops due to heavy rains and provide compensation to the farmers accordingly.
