Bihar: Girl students vandalise vehicle of education officer in protest against lack of basic facilities in school

Expressing anger over poor infrastructure and seating arrangement in a government school in Bihar’s Vaishali, girls damaged the vehicle of the education officer. They stated that even basic facilities were not available for them at the institution.

The girls of a government school in Bihar’s Vaishali vandalise the vehicle of an education officer in protest against the basic facilities being not available in the institutions.

According to the reports in the media, the school administration has stated that the girls created ruckus as they were influenced by outsiders. The girl students had also jammed the road. The matter was reported to the police and soon the situation was brought under control.

Meanwhile, Neeraj Kumar, SDO, Mahnar, Vaishali said that the main reason for the chaos was that there were  more students admitted in the than the capacity of school classrooms here. The students who did not find a place to sit inside started protesting and blocked a road. We are trying to run the school in two shifts and the matter is being investigated.

The Bihar government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been in the dock for poor infrastructure facilities in various sectors as well as poor law and order situation. Recently, the video was doing rounds on the social media showcasing poor infrastructure in the health sector. Also, the people are facing problem of law and order in the state as there are frequent incidents of violence, murder and loot in the state.
