Tamil Nadu: After Udhaynidhi Stalin, now DMK’s A Raja denigrates Sanatana Dharma, compares it with ‘leprosy and AIDS’

Even before Tamil Nadu youth welfare and sports Udhayanidhi Stalin’s controversial comments on Sanatana dharma died down, DMK MP A Raja compared it with HIV and leprosy

Tamil Nadu youth welfare and sports Udhayanidhi Stalin had recently said that Sanatana Dharma should be eradicated the way we eradicate malaria, dengue and corona. Before his controversial innuendos against Sanatana dharma faded away from public memory, Nilgiri Lok Sabha member and former union minister ( 2G scame fame) Andimuthu Raja likened Sanatana dharma to Leprosy and HIV AIDS.

Raja, who is also the Deputy Secretary of the DMK , known for his rabid Hindu phobic comments took part in a protest organised by Secular Progressive Alliance – part of the anti-Hindu outfit Dravidar Kazhagam- against the Vishwakarma Yojana scheme launched by the Modi government. Raja said “Bring anyone from the BJP. I am ready for a public debate on Sanathana Dharma. The vishwakarma Yojana scheme is a manifestation of Sanatana Dharma.” “Udhayanidhi has spoken softly. I would go hard at Sanatana Dharma, ”

Coming out in support of  his youth wing secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin, Raja said “I am oddly surprised that Udhayanidhi Stalin had only spoken about it only softly saying (Sanatana Dharma) has to be eradicated like malaria and dengue. Malaria and dengue doesn’t have social stigma. The society won’t look at them disgustingly. If we have to call it something disgusting, there was leprosy, there is HIV today. For us, just like leprosy and HIV, we’ve to see it (Sanathana Dharma) as a social stigma.”

Tamil Nadu Congress Committee President K. Alagiri too participated in this protest, where DMK MP A Raja made this hate speech. Both the DMK and Congress are part of the I.N.D.I. Alliance.

Two days ago , speaking at a party meeting in Pondicherry Raja said “I dare Amit Shah from Puduvai (Puducherry). Let it be anyone from the BJP, or yourself (Amit Shah). Let us have an open debate in Delhi. Let one lakh people gather. Let us debate Sanatana Dharma. Let the people of the country decide who is right? I am ready. DMK is ready. Are you ready?”.

He said that Amit Shah became a minister and he became a minister only because of the destruction of Sanatan Dharma, Raja said “Only because of that you are home minister, otherwise you would have been doing something else. Only because we fought Sanatana Dharma, Tamizhisai Soundararajan is Governor now, Vanathi Srinivasan is an advocate. Only because we destroyed it, Annamalai is IPS, instead of rearing cattle. Are you not ashamed of speaking in support of Sanatana Dharma after securing the positions (of power) through the Sanatana Dharma we destroyed. Don’t you have conscience?”

The former union minister said “  Do we want to revive such practices ( sati) ? We have fought all odds (in removing such practices). If we accept this sana tana dharma , we are against the principles advocated by Periyar. Former CM CN Annadurai, and Kalaignar Karunanidhi . Accepting this dharma will make us an enemy for fellow human beings . I am not a human, if I accept this dharma”.

A Raja had earlier said ( in a video) “ As long as an inch of idol , and Hinduism (sana tana) is there, we can’t bring communism here.  Even after that, if we do not oppose Hinduism, BJP and saffron, how revolution will happen. If you are a true Tamil, first come out of the Hindu religion fold.  These barbaric pray cow and money as gods.  We unite together to wage a fight against it to bring revolution”.

In September last year  Raja said “You are a Shudra till you remain a Hindu. You are the son of a prostitute till you remain as Shudra. You are a Panchaman (Dalit) till you remain a Hindu. You are an untouchable till you remain a Hindu,” Raja said while addressing a meeting of Dravidar Kazhagam in Chennai.  he also said  “how many of you wish to stay as children of prostitutes? How many of you wish to remain untouchables? Only if we are vocal about these questions, it will become elemental in breaking Sanathana (dharma).”

Raja said claimed that the Supreme Court had ruled that if one is not a Christian, Muslim or Persian, then one has to be a Hindu. “Is there any other country meting out such cruelty?”

In January this year, while speaking a school function, Raja said “When we talk about education in India, it becomes a popular topic in today’s political environment. Credits should be given to the British for making education available to even the ordinary people, when it had been denied for 3,000 years. “Schools founded by Christian organisations continue to teach about our history. Christianity was the first religion in the world to accept that common people in this society should have access to education. ”

Naam Tamizhar Katchi leader Seeman extended his support to Udhayanidhi saying what he said was true and he was in total agreement with him.  He said Sanatana is a deadly virus. We have been fighting to destroy for years together unsuccessfully.  I agree with brother udhaya nidhi views on sana tana dharma”
