His remarks placed the RSS’s vision of national identity, cultural rootedness and national advancement at the centre of his reflections, while underscoring the enduring strategic and people-to-people partnership between India and Israel.
‘Bharat will reach Param Vaibhav’
Revach singled out the address by RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat, noting its emphasis on remaining rooted in national identity. He also highlighted a line from the RSS’s traditional prayer that left a lasting impression on him:
“परं वैभवं नेतुमेतत् स्वराष्ट्रम् समर्था भवत्वाशिषा ते भृशम्॥”
The verse expresses the aspiration to become fully capable, with divine blessings, of leading the nation towards the highest pinnacle of glory and prosperity.
Revach connected this ideal with India’s wider national journey, declaring that the contribution of the RSS to Bharat’s progress, both before and after Independence, was incomparable.
“This is why I have no doubt that Bharat will reach ‘Param Vaibhav’,” he wrote. The statement stands out as an international diplomat’s public recognition of the importance of national identity and the long-term vision of India’s development.
Captain Smit Machchar’s bravery remembered
